Celebrating the 22nd anniversary of the first issue.
The editorial office is located right in the middle between Shibuya, Daikanyama, and Ebisu. I commute to work in Shibuya and am not familiar with Daikanyama because it is too crowded, and more than 70% of my lunches are in the Ebisu area, which is one of the reasons why I go to Ebisu. The Big Issue is a magazine sold by homeless people on the street. The magazine is sold for 500 yen, with 250 yen going to the seller. The people who appear on the cover of the magazine are all paid no money or charity prices in support of the Big Issue's philosophy, and I feel that it is very meaningful to know that. The original tenugui I purchased at a recent pop-up in Kichijoji was produced by Dye-no-Anbo, a tenugui and dyeing specialty store in Asakusa. ¥700 from the sales will be the seller's profit, and we hope that you can pick up a copy of the magazine along with the magazine at any of our street vendors throughout Japan.

I turned right on my bike at the Kotakibashi intersection marked by "Inageya" and headed toward Koenji on Waseda Street. It was EQ2 who introduced me to him more than 10 years ago. The mix CD I purchased for the recent "NURI NURI" exhibit at the Stax Bookstore was produced by ILL SUGI of COCKROACHEEE'z, a long-time friend of Mr. PUTS, as the soundtrack to "NURI NURI". Mr. PUTS's repeated black character is also featured prominently on the disc, which is currently available at the Stacks Bookstore and online. The theme of "NURI NURI" is literally a coloring book, and in reading Yukihiro Takahashi's book "My Personal Music History," which I purchased when I visited the exhibit, I found a passage that says, "In the 1960s, there was a lot of room for originality, or in painting, there were many white areas that had not been colored in.
