A piece of clothing that can be worn both in the mountains and in town.
-The pants you coordinated are original "BAMBOO SHOOTS".
Kai: This design is a cross between military chinos and climbing pants. The silhouette was enlarged with more room around the waist to make it easier to move the legs without a crotch gusset.
-It matches the relaxed silhouette of the "Retro X".
Kai: I've been wearing Patagonia, so maybe I naturally make things that fit Patagonia (laughs).
-How about "Classic Retro X Best"?
Kai: The vest is softer and easier to wear. I used to think I didn't look good in it because of my tight shoulders, but this one fits my shoulders and I can wear it without any discomfort at all.
-Patagonia has a wide variety of fleeces, but what does Retro X mean to you?
Kai: I like fleeces of this thickness, like the "Retro Cardigan" or the "Glissade." I like this "Retro X" because it is familiar to me.
-In what situations would you like to wear "Retro X"?
Kai: In the recent Tokyo climate, you could spend the winter in "Retro X". If it were in the mountains, it would be perfect for when you are resting. It is a fleece but as outerwear, I would wear it both in the mountains and in town.
-I am sure it will be used in many places.
Kai: Patagonia is popular in town as a trusted outdoor brand, but I think it is in a different context than fashion. What you wear in the mountains can be worn comfortably in town.
