BAKUMON! Vol.2

Hui-Nam Fishing Club once again held the bass fishing tournament "Bakusuri Mondai" with friends. Fishing all over Lake Sagami!

Last June, the Huinamu Fishing Club, "Before You Wake Up," and Daiwa jointly held a bass fishing tournament called "Boogie Woogie Bakunsuri Mondai! The event was held at the "BIGIU GUIGI BAKUZZU ISSUE! Thirty anglers, ranging from the most experienced to beginners, gathered for a fun-filled day of fishing. It was so much fun that we made plans for another one this year and held the second one on Saturday, October 11! Here is a report on the day of the event, in which the adults were so selfless.

Started out well!

After getting ready, it was time to set sail! Each person moves the boat in a straight line toward the point they are aiming for. When they catch a fish, they are to measure it with the measuring tape provided and send a picture of it along with a "Bakumon" sticker to the group LINE. At that time, we asked them to report the size as well as the hit lure. The idea was not to get too serious, but to have fun fishing together! The intention was not to be too serious, but to have fun catching fish together.

The temperature dropped dramatically and the sky looked as if it would rain at any moment. We were worried about the drop in water temperature, but the fish were jumping energetically first thing in the morning, and the atmosphere was somewhat promising.

About an hour after the start of the event, the first fish was reported. The first fish was caught by Mr. Hino, a producer at a design company. He caught a 25 cm bass on a down-shot rig. After that, he had a 40 cm bass on a free-rig, but it was too far from the boat and the bite was too shallow, so it got away.

And Mr. Fujita of "BEAMS" was there at about the same time as Mr. Hino!

Not long after, Mr. Murayama, the designer of "Flagstaff," also called the group line. What a 36cm!

Murayama:This was my first time at Sagami Lake. I had no idea what to expect, but I thought it would be a scroll lure or a gill worm, and it bit a gill worm. There were quite a few boils in the morning, and I had one bite, but it was a surprise hook and I missed it. I was throwing it the other way in hopes of catching it, and I happened to catch it.

Mr. Saisu, owner of "ARMS Clothing Store" who was on the boat with me, was on Sagami Lake for the first time in a year. He was enjoying the first morning in his own style, using old tackle and topwater plugs.

Saisu:I know top fishing is tough on Lake Sagami, so I just feel lucky if I catch a fish. My friend makes a double swisher called the "Art Of Surface. I have had good results with the double swishers made by a friend of mine. I think it would be a great feeling if I could catch fish with it.
