BAKUMON! Vol.2

Hui-Nam Fishing Club once again held the bass fishing tournament "Bakusuri Mondai" with friends. Fishing all over Lake Sagami!

Last June, the Huinamu Fishing Club, "Before You Wake Up," and Daiwa jointly held a bass fishing tournament called "Boogie Woogie Bakunsuri Mondai! The event was held at the "BIGIU GUIGI BAKUZZU ISSUE! Thirty anglers, ranging from the most experienced to beginners, gathered for a fun-filled day of fishing. Fishing well and hoping for a big bass!

The last "bakumon" was in tough conditions due to bad weather, but the fishing reports came in one after another and the event was a lot of fun!

Mr. Taguchi of Daiwa caught a 28 cm, 23 cm, and 28 cm fish in quick succession.

Mr. Ogawa, a SFA (Super Fresh Angler) from Daiwa who specializes in salt lures, started out with one fish despite his inexperience in bass fishing.

Mar-kun caught a 31.5 cm fish, followed by Koyama's 29 cm fish, which was caught by Mr. Murayama, currently in first place.

This is the pair of Mr. Inoue, owner of "ON THE HILL" and Mr. Hatakeyama, sales representative of "MORE RIDE", who chose a winding lure.

Hatakeyama:I participated in a tournament for the first time last year at Bakumon. I am not confident in my skills, so it is easy for me to participate in a tournament where the priority is for everyone to have fun. I would like to catch a fish if possible.

Inoue:It was my first time to participate in a tournament. It is different from usual fishing to share information with a large group of people, and some of us have not seen each other for a long time. I enjoyed the atmosphere of fishing with everyone, regardless of whether we caught fish or not.

Mr. Hino, who caught the first fish, and Mr. Yamamoto of "Beams," who was on the same boat with him, also used down-shot rigs and steadily caught more fish.

Komatsu, also of the Huinamu Fishing Club, who found the downshot to be in good shape.

Mr. Yasugan of TIEMCO caught a Nigoi and was nominated for the "BEFORE YOU WAKE UP" award.

Mr. Takahashi of Daiwa, who caught a 31 cm fish, moves up to third place.

Mr. Murata of WAKOMARIA usually focuses on ocean fishing, and Mr. Kinugawa has a long history of bass fishing.

Murata:We used to talk a lot about fishing, but all I talked about was the ocean. He was very dependable because he didn't have a lot of knowledge about bass fishing, and he was a very good fisherman (laughs). Talking with him on the boat for a long time, I got to know a side of him that I didn't know.

Murata: Many of the "Bakumon" participants were from the fashion industry, and they all looked stylish and cool in their outfits. I found it helpful to see how well they combined fishing wear with their outfits. I would like to coordinate my outfits with a more playful spirit.

Mr. Kinugawa, a native of Shiga Prefecture, has been bass fishing since he was in the second grade of elementary school until he moved to Tokyo in 2020. All of his fishing gear is kept in his hometown, so he has prepared a complete set for this day's challenge.

Kinugawa:I tried using lures that would catch fish seasonally, but there was no response at all. I had heard that Lake Sagami was difficult. It is totally different from Lake Biwa.

Mr. Kinugawa's bass fishing was rekindled after that day, and he went to Sagami Lake the following week and the week after that, and caught bass without incident.
