With a vast number of new sneaker models released every day, there are so many attractive options that it’s hard to know which one to choose… This monthly series is designed to serve as a guide for those of you facing this dilemma. This month’s theme is the “Nike Air Max 95.” Since its debut in 1995, this model sparked an unprecedented boom in Japan and even became a social phenomenon. To this day, it continues to be released in numerous variations. With a rich lineup available this season, which models deserve special attention? Chiaki Fukuda, PR representative at “atmos,” and buyer Subaru Miyazaki have carefully selected and will introduce their top five recommended new releases.

01: NIKE AIR MAX 95 BIG BUBBLE
Inspired by a Parisian studio.

Fuinam: Let's start with this one. It's a pretty unique pair, isn't it?

Fukuda: Commonly known as “Atelier.” This model was inspired by the workspaces of artists and designers in Paris.

Miyazaki: Its defining feature is that it conveys the rough, unfinished texture of a work-in-progress rather than that of a finished product.

Fukuda: The concept is evident in every detail, from the French spelling on the heel to the graphics on the outsole.

Fuinam: The pop of blue really stands out against the monochrome palette.

Miyazaki: “A little peek” is just right. The upper features a layered structure that looks like stacked canvas—take a closer look at how the Swoosh is slightly hidden.

Fuinam: And this one is the Big Bubble model, right?

Fukuda: They’re comfortable to wear, and the added volume really brings out the distinctive 95 style. It’s also nice that they make me look a little taller (laughs).
