Fuinam: First, let’s talk about the star of this feature, the “Air Jordan 12 Retro ”Clear Jade.’” What kind of model is this?
Kojima: This year marks the 30th anniversary of the “Air Jordan 12.” To coincide with this milestone, we’re able to release a model featuring the iconic “Clear Jade” colorway that’s synonymous with “Atmos.”

Fuinam: Just changing the color completely transforms the impression, doesn't it?
Kojima: That's right. By the way, this model is exclusively available at "Atmos" in Japan. We've also prepared a special box, so it's a pair that really feels special.
Fuinam: What does the “Air Jordan 12” mean to you, Mr. Okajima?
Okajima: Compared to models like the “1,” “4,” or “5,” this one has a slightly more understated look, doesn’t it? It also has a strong “sneaker” vibe. But I own a pair myself, and when I try them on, they’re surprisingly easy to style. Since they’re made entirely of leather, depending on how you look at them, they can even be worn like dress shoes.
Fuinam: What about the details?
Kojima: We’ve kept the original color-blocking design for this release as well. The insole features the elephant print that dates back to the “Air Max 1,” and the special box also features the same pattern.
Fuinam: “So there’s a connection to the ‘Air Max 1,’ too.”
Kojima: That's right. Both the "Air Jordan 12" and the "Air Max 1" were designed by Tinker Hatfield. I think that's an interesting connection.

Okajima: The “Air Jordan 12 Retro ”Clear Jade’” will be unveiled at “atmoscon 2026,” taking place on October 31 and November 1, and will be available for pre-release purchase at the venue.
