Everyone’s “My Best Air Max 95.”
Fuinam: You’ve shown us five pairs this time, but even though they’re all “Air Max 95” models, they’re completely different from one another.
Miyazaki: That's so true. It's rare to find sneakers where the color, material, and background can change the overall impression this much.
Fukuda: That’s why I want to collect them. Depending on my mood or what I’m wearing that day, I can choose one and think, “I’ll go with this ’95 today.”

Fuinam: What is this?
Miyazaki: These are sneakers designed by young patients at a children’s hospital in Oregon, and the proceeds go toward medical support. They were designed by a boy named Jacob Barris, and they’re filled with his own story. Of course, I like the way they look, but I was drawn even more to the story behind them.
Fuinam: Next, what about Mr. Fukuda?
Fukuda: My favorite is the collaboration model with Levi's.

Fuinam: The upper is black denim. This is cool.
Fukuda: Plus, they have a raw-edge design, so they gradually fade as you wear them. For me, it was a new experience to enjoy how sneakers age over time. They’re not flashy, but they have a certain presence—I think the 95 is a pair I’ll be able to wear even as I get older.
Fuinam: I see. Finally, could you both share once more what you find so appealing about the “Air Max 95”?
Miyazaki: For me, the “95 is the ”gateway to the culture.” This was the first pair that caught my eye. From there, my interest expanded to other models, and I became hooked on the depth and complexity of sneakers.
Fukuda: For those who lived through that era, they’re a symbol of aspiration. For our generation, which came later, they’re a legendary pair of sneakers. But there’s something we all have in common: everyone has their “own ”95.” They’re sneakers that are inextricably linked to memories.
Miyazaki: It’s a model that’s tied to our memories, isn’t it? That’s why people get so excited every time it’s reissued.
Fukuda: Even as trends change, it continues to be loved. It keeps coming back in new contexts every time. That’s the kind of thing it is.
