Okajima: This is the Japan-exclusive “Sashiko” model. It’s the second installment in our series featuring traditional Japanese craftsmanship, following the “Sukajan” Air Jordan 11.

Fuinam: At first glance, it looks simple, but if you look closely, you’ll see that the details are quite intricate.
Okajima: We incorporate sashiko elements into the stitching and patterns. The craftsmanship is meticulous, right down to the lining and the patterns on the details.
Fuinam: It looks like it's gaining popularity overseas, too.
Okajima: Since this is a Japan-exclusive item, the response from collectors has been very positive. Sashiko is a technique that originated from Japan’s culture of mending. I think it’s a great concept in terms of “using things for a long time.”
