Playback of the GOOD BATH DAY RUN!
ALPEN RUN MEIJI PARK" wants to function as a hub for the run community. As mentioned above, a "GOOD BATH DAY RUN" was held on the same day, and participants ran a distance of 11.26 (good bath) kilometers.
We started with stretching and preparatory exercises at Meiji Park. Since it was a Sunday, the park was filled with families and a friendly atmosphere. With Kunimatsu-san's explanation, the participants slowly relaxed the muscles used during the run.
After a 10-minute warm-up exercise, we started running. This time, the course will take us from Meiji Park, past the gingko trees in front of Gaienmae, straight down 246 toward the Imperial Palace, around the Imperial Palace run, and then back along the original route.
The pace is usually around 7’00"/km, a speed that even those who are not used to running can enjoy. Participants can be seen running while enjoying conversation with other participants, which is the real appeal of group runs that is different from running alone.
ALPEN RUN MEIJI PARK staff member will be running at the front, middle, and tail of the event, watching over the participants. Even beginners will feel at ease.
After about 5 km, the body seems to be gradually warming up. Everyone has a nice smile on their face as they run.
Upon arrival at the Imperial Palace, there will be a light break. In between, we took commemorative photos. The lights of the Marunouchi buildings are beautiful, and some people take pictures with their smartphones.
After the commemorative photo, the running resumes again. With only a turnaround to go, they enjoy the run at their own pace.
The event started at 6:00 p.m. and everyone finished at about 8:00 p.m. Including the preparation exercise, it took about 2 hours. Everyone's faces looked refreshed and comfortable.
The event concludes with a commemorative photo. After this, free invitation tickets to "TOTOPA" were handed out, bringing the event to a close. I was able to witness new communication taking place in front of the restaurant, as participants chatted slowly with each other. The final course was a sauna and bath, which was a great way to work on the body. I could hear people saying, "I want to participate again," and I can see why.
