〈DAIWA PIER39〉 made its debut in South Korea by hosting a pop-up event in Seoul. While its lineup draws attention every season in Japan, what kind of reaction will it receive in South Korea, a hub for trendsetters? So, we traveled there to experience the excitement of the pop-up firsthand. We also visited three shops that caught our eye to explore the current state of the South Korean fashion scene.
レセプションの日に完売したアイテムがあるほど大盛況で幕を閉じた〈ダイワ ピア39〉のポップアップ。次回は11月に同じ会場で開催され、ヘビーアウターも並ぶそう。日本以上に寒さの厳しい韓国だからこそ、確かな技術に裏打ちされた保温性の高い一着には、さらに多くの人が〈ダイワ ピア39〉に注目することでしょう。
今回の取材をとおして、そんな予感を抱きました。そして、日本と同じ感覚を持ちながら、その土地ならではの空気感を体現しているショップは全部かっこよかったし、とても親切で丁寧なスタッフばかり。また気軽に訪れたい街でした。
