PROFILE
A young drawing artist from Mie Prefecture. He moved to Tokyo when he entered university, and after a series of twists and turns, he started his full-fledged activities in his current occupation about four years ago. His creations include artwork for CD jackets of mainly hip-hop artists, collaborations with various fashion brands, and live painting at various events. He is also involved in an apparel project called "DYNAMITE BOOGIE" with his friend and DJ Mr. SOUL. Skateboarding and music are his purpose in life.
What are the key points of today's styling?
I usually like a wild style, but on this day the big silhouette monster parka is the star of the show. I thought the outerwear would stand out more by matching it with a seemingly plain checked shirt and white pants. Also, my rule with oversized outerwear is to wear it with my shoulders slouched. The black down shoes are a nice finishing touch.
How was the comfort of "Fred Middle B200 PF"?
The strong grip and stable cushioning unique to the Vibram sole is as good as it gets. It is of course easy to walk on asphalt in the city, but I think you can also wear them in the field in the mountains or on snowy roads without any stress. What was your impression of the design?
The all-one-tone black is a basic pair that is easy to match with any item. They have a somewhat sophisticated look without being too fussy, and they are perfect for town use. It would also be fun to match them with a down jacket.
What kind of brand is "Danner" to you?
I think it was my first encounter with "Mountain Light," which a friend of mine happened to be wearing and which I admired so much. Since then, I have always had the impression that they were cool. When it comes to rugged outdoor boots, Danner is definitely the name of the game.
Do you have a particular style of fashion that you are into these days?
In the past few years, I've been into a style that mixes vintage clothes with trendy items. I usually go to stores such as FOVOS in Harajuku and MANHOLE in Gaienmae, which have a rich lineup of music and skate items, and I often see vintage "Danner" items that appeal to my generation. My style is based on clothes that are easy to draw in and easy to skateboard in (laughs).
