No consistency in tastes. I buy what my antennae respond to.
My taste in sneakers is totally different from time to time. Sometimes I'm really into collaborations with fashion brands like Sakai, and other times I'll wear the latest performance running shoes for everyday wear. . There is no consistency there. This year, too, there were many attractive sneakers released one after another, and I ended up buying the ones that caught my antenna. Especially in the first half of the year, I think there were many good releases. However, the current sneaker market has become a structure in which only the second market can profit, and I have a feeling that this is somewhat unhealthy. Moreover, this trend is accelerating. I wonder what is going on.
NIKE_ZOOM PEGASUS 36 TRAIL GORE-TEX

I bought these shoes at the House of Innovation, Nike's concept store in New York City, in October of this year. I don't really like Pegasus as a running shoe, but these are for trail running and GORE-TEX, so I thought they would be good for everyday wear on rainy days. And best of all, the all-black color is rare for this kind of shoe."
NIKE×Sacai_LDV WAFFLE DAYBREAK

I saw Hiroshi Fujiwara wearing them, thought they were nice, and bought them. Not only this model, but the collaboration between Nike and Sacai is a "last-minute joke," if I may say so, and the moderation and technique of the arrangement is brilliant. Daybreak's arrangement by Undercover was also good.
New Balance_993

When I visited the atelier of stylist Koichiro Yamamoto, I casually saw these shoes on the floor. At first, I couldn't figure out which model number they were, but upon closer inspection, I discovered that they were 993. I have always preferred the heritage models such as the 995, 996, and 1300 when it comes to "New Balance," and the 993 was honestly not on my radar, but the volume and balance of the design matches my current mood in a strange way.
