BEAMS
PROFILE

While working at BEAMS, he took up running in earnest, and is the leader of the BEAMS RUN CLUB. He runs a full marathon with a personal best time of 2 hours, 49 minutes, and 01 second.

This year, Topo Athletic and Skechers hit the jackpot.
For about two years now, my everyday shoes have been 100%, performance running shoes. For me, who makes it a habit to run every day, the most important thing is to be able to run when I want to. Although I can run in so-called "lifestyle" sneakers, the latest performance shoes are far more comfortable when it comes to running comfort. So I see no reason to wear ordinary sneakers. In terms of brands, Nike's thick-soled sneakers are taking the running world by storm, and I use them myself. However, it's not as if I'm all about "Nike. I am always looking for new brands that other people are not yet paying attention to, and I actually try them on to see how they feel. This is one of the joys of running. This year, Topo Athletic and Skechers hit the jackpot.
TOPO ATHLETIC_MTN RACER

Topo Athletic is an American running shoe brand that has been fully launched in Japan this fall/winter. The shoes are characterized by a wide toe box and a small difference in height between the forefoot and hindfoot, making them quite unique in terms of comfort. This model, MTN Racer, is for trail running. I actually wore them in a race and they performed very well."

"When I wear these, people say, 'What are those shoes? Where are they from?" I'm often asked, "What are those shoes? When I tell them that they are Skechers running shoes, they are usually surprised. I guess it is unexpected, isn't it? However, they are serious shoes, surprisingly lightweight, with a highly resilient sole that allows you to run comfortably even at high speeds. I also like their unique, techie look. These are the pair I've worn the most this year.
NIKE_ZOOM VAPORFLY ELITE FLYPRINT

The day after this year's Tokyo Marathon, a limited edition pair of running shoes went on sale at Nike Harajuku. They were limited to 31 pairs in Japan, priced at about 80,000 yen, and only runners who had run a full marathon in less than three hours, including myself, were able to purchase these special shoes. They are still in use as running shoes, but I plan to use them for everyday wear after they are no longer needed.
