. the way back home as I run, reflecting on what happened in the day.
After a full day of driving in the morning, time moves into the leisurely afternoon zone. Nakamura says, "Days like this are a great change of pace. . He seemed to enjoy the drive, driving the car at his own leisurely pace.

I don't have my own car at the moment, so for the first time in a long time I was able to drive around Tokyo at my own pace, which was refreshing. . It's nice to be able to reflect on the day's events when driving home as well as on the way there. That time allows me to rest and relax when I get home, even on the busiest of days. It reaffirms for me that I really need that kind of time."

Perhaps the secret of Ms. Nakamura's always natural demeanor is, after all, the distance between things.
I don't want to do anything that I feel is too much for me or that is out of character for me, or maybe I just naturally try not to do it. Of course, there are times when I am influenced by my surroundings and my pace slows down (laughs). But in the end, I only do what I like to do, and since I chose to live that way, it is natural that there are hardships, but I don't want to lie to myself. The reason I live so far away from Tokyo is because I think I need that kind of distance.

Nakamura-san maintains a good balance between physical distance from Tokyo and distance from his paintings, while keeping a good relationship with his subject. We asked him what kind of activities he would like to pursue in the future.
I paint simply because I like it, but I am also interested in what kind of view I can see when I make contact with society through painting. I am also interested in what kind of scenery I can see through my paintings. Through my paintings, I have been able to meet many people and exhibit in Paris, and I am curious about these new events. So I would like to continue to see these new landscapes. If the location of the exhibition changes, the visitors will also change. I would like to see various reactions there and be stimulated.
