They understand the problems of people who can't wear 501s well and make them.
What was your impression of "Stabilizer Jeans", Kaneko-san?
Kaneko:I knew that "Wism" was carrying your products. While there are many people making reprints of old items nowadays, I had the impression that Yazane-san was not within that framework. I felt that Yazane-san is a brand that honestly makes jeans as current products. I thought that there was a resonance between that and what I am doing now at "LE".
I see. How do you feel about the "current products" that Mr. Kaneko just mentioned?

Yazumi:I don't know if this is a good thing to talk about, but I heard that a denim manufacturer was once sued by a major denim brand. When I hear such stories, I always think that if I am going to make a denim brand, I have to make products that have my own identity or identity. That is how I see current products. I myself like classic items, so I make my products with respect for those items and with the awareness that they are current items.
Kaneko:Komori-san also sympathized with you about the current product.
Komori:I once bought a pair of "Stabilizer Jeans" at Wism. They have a skinny silhouette.
Yazumi:We call this model "Tight Tapered."
Komori:I wanted to wear skinny jeans, but I found them at a store when I was feeling a little uncomfortable. Stabilizer Jeans" had a masculine look, so even I could easily pick them up.
LE" items are always made under the supervision of Mr. Komori, but how does your role differ from Mr. Yazane's in making the denim for this project?

Komori:I made this comment on behalf of those who do not look good in 501s.
Representative of the unsuitable?
Kaneko:The fabric is special this time, but it's also special in that we have two silhouettes available. When I talk with Mr. Komori about denim, he often says, "I can't wear 501s.
Komori:I don't have very fleshy hips and I have O-legs. My thighs are also thin, and as a result, 501s don't look good on me. But Kaneko-san is the complete opposite. He rides a bicycle and has strong legs and back, so 501s look great on him. You know how sometimes the silhouettes of foreign models look tapered when they wear them? It's like that. In my case, they look flared. It really shows how bad my body is.

Kaneko:I had been wearing them since I was young, so I didn't think anything of it, but when I asked them about it, I found that there were many of our staff who said "501s don't suit me". So we decided to create a silhouette that would be easy for them to wear, and we decided to offer two fits.
Actually, there was another reason why I wanted to work with Mr. Yazane. I thought he would understand the problems of people who have trouble wearing 501s, so I asked him about it, and he gave me a clear answer. He gave me a clear answer: "If you do this, it will solve the problem.
I would like to compare the silhouettes specifically, but first, here is the standard fit TYPE:KK, which is based on the 501.

LE〉 Denim (TYPE:KK) ¥18,000+TAX
On the other hand, this is a fit for those who have a niggling awareness of 501, what exactly are you changing?

LE〉 Denim (TYPE:CO) ¥18,000+TAX
Yazumi:The only thing I'm tweaking is almost exclusively the waist. Normal 501s are roomy in the hips. So when a person with a small buttocks wears them, the extra room stands out and the buttocks don't sag beautifully. So I picked it out and shaved it off so that the buttocks would look flat. That way, I get a nice shaped back style. After making these changes, Mr. Komori advised me to adjust the hem width as well, so I made the hem width slightly narrower.
Kaneko:That was solved in an instant, wasn't it?
Komori:I tried them on after the adjustment and had no problem at all.
Kaneko:One of our staff members, who was not a fan of 501s, said he could wear these.
