We have found the best challenge that no denim brand has ever taken on.
It has been almost a year since "LE" started, and it seems that the precision of manufacturing has been improving.

Kaneko:That's right. I think it is significant that we are doing this from a different perspective and with a different team structure than is usually done in a select store.
Komori:I think that since "reshop" is a store with great power to transmit information, we should not take advantage of that power. If we make something bad there, we will be exposed. If we try to do things the quickest way possible using our own resources, we sometimes feel that we have lost our purpose when we see the finished product for the first time. We had to do it under the circumstances of the company, so it was unavoidable, but I think we could have done it even if we had ignored those circumstances.
I see that you have to take a harder look at what you are doing.
Kaneko:So, in our case, there are many detours before the product is completed. This is a good aspect of having Mr. Komori and Mr. Yazane supervise us this time. We were able to brush up on what we would normally have done smoothly by getting objective advice.

Komori:I don't think it's easy to come up with something good in one shot. That is why I feel very uncomfortable when things progress based on deadlines. You have to be willing to accept that the project may be rejected in the end. Prioritizing the schedule means prioritizing business. It is not so easy to make clothes that you can just make one shot and suddenly get an OK.
Did you make it several times this time?
Yazumi:Once I had it sewn at a factory in China, then came Corona, and finally Okayama, so it ended up being twice.
Komori:I think that's fine. It's much better than the first time.

Yazumi:I can agree with this finish. However, I am not so sure that it is perfect. I think it can evolve further in the future.
Kaneko:Usually, these things take years to do.
Yazumi:But I think the quality of the product is high.
Levi's® has also undergone changes from its establishment to the present, with changes in fabric mills and so on.
Kaneko:As you said, it has changed into something totally different over its long history. I think the same can be said for the denim this time.
Yazumi:For me, it is as if I am meeting the best challenge that no denim brand has yet taken on. I think we have created something very good as a first attempt. I don't think that everyone would go this far, or delve this deep.
Komori:I agree. This is not the end. I think the quality can be improved from now on.
Kaneko:It's hard to judge how far you have to go to be finished. I can brush up forever, or rather, I would like to do so.
