You have always been a fan of A24. How did "WAVES" come to your attention?
I read in the pamphlet that it was "a playlist movie that transcends musicals," and I wondered what that meant, but as I watched it, I was drawn in more and more. In any case, there was a strong focus on the music, which served to convey the emotions of each character. I think it is a work that can be enjoyed with both the eyes and the ears. Through this film, I felt as if the director and performers had given me a special playlist as a gift. I listened to the songs again after watching the film, and I realized that I had chosen only songs in a mellow mood.

Yes, the storyline that progressed along with the music made me think about love that asks for nothing in return when I saw it from Tyler and Amy's point of view. Even though we were in different countries, there were many aspects of the story that I could apply to myself, such as family, love, friends, and so on. I was also relieved when I saw the scene where Radiohead's "True Love Waits" was playing. I loved the lyrics "I'll drown my beliefs To have your babies" and "Your tiny hands, your crazy kitten smile. I really like the lyrics "Your tiny hands, your crazy kitten smile". When I thought about those lyrics from my parents' point of view, I realized that they must be trying to move forward little by little in their grief.
What did you think of the visuals? It was set in Florida, so there were blue skies, blue seas, and bright colors in the city.
The images were so fantastic and wonderful. I had plans to go abroad this year, but Corona prevented me from doing so, and that has been on my mind for a long time. I have a feeling of wanting to be free to do what I want, but I have to be patient. I am glad that I was able to see beautiful foreign landscapes at a time when I am still holding on to such frustrating feelings. The colors were hot enough to beat the summer heat, and I felt that if I saw the film on a big screen, I would probably feel even more refreshed.
