In an age when the way designers perceive clothing is becoming more apparent.
Do you feel that wholesalers' orders have changed through the exhibition?

Fujii: This is something I have always thought, but everyone has various circumstances, and furthermore, there are differences in the impact depending on the region, which is inevitable. What I felt this time is that it has become clear that there are two types of stores: those that treat "non-native" as part of the brand list and those that treat it as clothing. I am thankful that both types of stores continue to carry Non-Native. I felt that I had to reiterate the characteristics of the clothes and that there was a lack of communication, and the points to review became clear to me.
What do you think about the price range in the changing fashion consumption?
Fujii: I don't think it is necessary to change the quality to match the world, and I think it is typical for "non-native" to convey more of what we can do. I am not denying this, but the fashion industry is surprisingly following the right path. This time, we asked, "When are you going to hold the exhibition? What are you going to do? I was contacted by many people, and the format was very similar. So, personally, I didn't want to contact people in the same industry as much as possible. It would be a kind of mutual consolation.

So, what are you thinking about doing with the presentation of "non-native speakers"?
Fujii:
Since we have our own content, we are thinking of focusing on "cover codes" as well. This is not meant to sound strange, but the Corona Disaster may be the catalyst for some brands to launch their own online stores. If it were an only store for one brand, people would not visit unless they had a need for it, but with "Cover Code," even if "Non-Native" is the entrance, there is an option to buy some vessels. When I think about it, I am glad that we have created this store in the style of a department store.
In the past, there was talk of creating an online store exclusively for "non-native," but I think diversity is important. As a company, we have brands (nonnative / hobo / YSTRDY's TMRRW), stores (vendor / ROOTS to BRANCHES), and a coffee stand (SIDEWALK STAND). It may be difficult to understand what we are doing, but it was a great experience for us to reconfirm what we have been doing.
