PROFILE
Born in Tokushima Prefecture, studied under stylist Miho Nozaki from 1999, moved to England in 2002, and started working as a stylist in 2004. She is active in many fields, working mainly for magazines and advertisements, and recently her YouTube channel "DODOTUBE" has become popular.

You have been active in activities other than being a stylist, such as Instagram live and YouTube, haven't you? What was it that got you started?
Hundreds:The main reason is that I had some free time during the self-restraint. I started Youtube after realizing that I wasn't so bad at speaking while doing insta-live. I can do insta-live easily because I am alone, but with YouTube, there is someone in front of me who is filming me, so I feel embarrassed. They are totally different.
What are the differences?
Hundreds:I'm gradually getting used to it, but YouTube has brought out the shyness in me that is at the root of my shyness. I can do insta-live as if I were singing out loud in the shower by myself, but on YouTube, no matter how much I trust someone, I become a completely different person.

. You have taken on various challenges in the past, such as being the editor-in-chief of "Union" magazine, creating a brand, and collaborating on items, haven't you?
Hundreds:As for myself, I communicate everything as a stylist, and I think I was able to do this because I had the axis of a stylist. Being able to be involved in "Union" and manufacturing, and now doing Insta-live and YouTube, were all made possible because of that axis.
I see. Now, let me ask you about shoes. I have the image of you wearing flat shoes rather than heels, but do you like boots?
Hundreds:I have quite a few short boots and wear them when I go out to play. In town, I tend to wear the ones from the collection brands.
How about these "Brand Stone" boots?
Hundreds:I like the waterproofing provided by the waterproofing and the sheepskin insole. They are non-stressful to wear , and easy to put on and take off. . I'm the type of person that once I like them, I wear them all the time, and this will be no different. I can see why everyone wears them until they are falling apart. I also like that the pull tabs are blue, and the color is different from my friend's "Brand Stone" shoes, so I can easily identify them as mine when I take them off.
It seems that many people use "Brand Stone" for outdoor activities and yard work. Many of your friends around you are also users, aren't they?
Hundreds:There are many stylists who are on the front lines. One store owner and her husband were wearing matching ones , which I thought was cute. I grew up in the countryside, so I don't have much of a longing for nature, and I'm the type of person who would rather live in the city all the time (laughs). . but I do often travel to places rich in nature. My kids like to go to the mountains behind my parents' house, so I will wear "Brand Stone" shoes on those occasions, when I go skiing, and of course in the city.
Shoes determine the balance of the body.
Can you tell us a little more about what you mentioned earlier about being "usable in the city"?
Hundreds:Side gore boots are both a trend and a mood right now . Collection brands are also offering them as a standard item, and the current mood is to wear them on the street as a fashion item.
What kind of styling do you suggest for women?
Hundreds:In my case, denim is the way to go. I think it is good to wear it with a simple outfit, such as denim and knitwear. It also goes well with a dress.
Ms. Momoshi, I have the impression that you also emphasize the importance of shoes, but shoes are the last part of a coordinated look, aren't they?
Hundreds:We do not choose shoes first, but put on the clothes we want to wear, and finally choose shoes at the entrance. . It is not that I neglect shoes, but shoes are the finishing touch to balance the body. Many women like bags and shoes and have a lot of them, but bags are more like accessories. Shoes are the most important part of style, and I have more shoes than bags.
This year marks the 150th anniversary of "Brand Stone," and it is now recognized as a classic product.
Hundreds:I like classic brands. There are various brands such as "Levi's" and so on. Collection brands sometimes come out with similar designs, but in that case, why not just use the original standard brand? Personally, I think that's a good idea. I don't understand the idea of paying many times more money to buy a luxury product with a similar design.
Do you think it makes sense to buy from a collection brand when you can't find something that is not part of the standard line?
Hundreds:I also wear collection brand side gores, but I don't think I'll ever stop wearing "Brand Stone. . In the current times and mood, I would rather wear "Brand Stone" a lot.
A standard item has a long history. Are there many items you can rely on?
Hundreds:There must be some reason why it is loved so much, it must be genuine, and there must be something about it that makes it naturally trustworthy. After all, if something is not good, it will disappear. . This is true not only for fashion, but also for restaurants.
I saw you say once that "the ideal styling is one that oozes a person's life". I think that the scratches and other changes that occur over time as "Brand Stone" is used become a part of its personality.
Hundreds:I really think so. Denim is no exception, but it is interesting to see how a person's personality and life are expressed in his or her belongings. Everyone washes their cars frequently and fixes them as soon as they hit a bump. However, I think it is also cool that people drive their cars with scuffs and scratches, even if they are luxury cars. Of course it is good to fix scratches right away, but for me, it is not my style.
Do you feel like you own it?
Hundreds:I think it is of course fine to keep things clean and neat, just like the person who does it. However, I think it's tacky to be so meticulous about things, like going to the repair shop every time there's a scratch. . I think it's not about the things, it's about taking care of yourself. I have a hunch that they lack self-confidence and want to hide it. To put it another way, if you are a man, take care of your wife more than you take care of your things! That's what I'm saying.
