KEYWORD 04: Diversity
Created by "men and women, young and old" working together
Major benefits.

When I look at the craftspeople who work at Masaaki Kiwada Shoten, I notice one thing. There is no gender bias and a wide range of ages, from young to experienced. Mr. Sano says, "There are things that come from having a diverse group of people, young and old, male and female, working together.

In Toyooka, there is a school for bag making, and local young people go there to study. I think it is quite rare to have a system that supports the local community from the bottom up. By having a wide range of people involved in production, the skills of veterans can be passed on to the younger generation, and the production site can be maintained for a long time to come. Although there are people at various stages of production, they all share the same mission of "making good products," and by having a wide variety of gears mesh and rotate well, we are able to create a flexible and durable production site.
