How long have you been in love with fashion?

I was in the first grade of junior high school. My hometown was Fujisawa, a town by the sea, and there were a lot of delinquents. Everyone was a b-boy and listened to hip-hop. I started skating and was surrounded by street culture. But I didn't wear any brand-name clothes at all at the time.

Do you still like those standard clothes?

Yes, the base is still the same, the sense of mixing designers as you would find in a "jackpot".

What did you like about the Daybreak shoes you wore this time?

I love these classic sneakers. I don't have anything with this much pop of coloring, but I thought it would be a nice color scheme. I think they would look cool with denim or something, the color is exquisite.

How did you start After Winter?

I was making silkscreen prints on clothes with local friends just for fun, and also making mixes on Soundcloud. We decided on a title for each mix, and we titled the mix we made at the end of winter "After Winter. It sounded good, so we decided to sell the clothes we had made and photographed so well. That was the beginning.

So you started out just as a way to make some extra money.

Yes, we did, and the response was even greater than expected. Inquiries came in right after we started selling the product. Even my friend who was working on the project with me called me and said, "Isn't this crazy? I was not playing around with it. That's when I decided to get serious about doing this properly, and not just for fun.

What is the source of inspiration for "After Winter"? There is something nostalgic about it.

All three of us like movies and music, so we usually get hints from those. Then, while we are mixing the songs, we formulate a concrete image of what we want to do. I often hang out with the two guys I work with. As we play together, our moods change from time to time, so the music changes as we go along.

Now that your products are sold at "1LDK" and other select stores, has your motivation changed?

I think we have become much more serious than when we started. However, we still try to make what we want to wear.

The vintage-like orange and lime green coloring is superb. The upper, which makes full use of three different materials (nylon, mesh, and suede), has a somewhat deep look. The OG specification inheriting the details of the original is a gem that fans of the shoe will want to get their hands on.
