05:VANS_AUTHENTIC Ken Kagami's work is on the upper.
Last but not least, "Authentic" by Vans. The upper is painted by artist Ken Kagami, isn't it?

Nishimoto:Yes, I have. I asked him to draw it. I have been friends with Mr. Kagami for several years. I asked him, "Could you draw something on this Vans?" and he drew it for me impromptu.
Emphasis on visual impact. I also love collaborations.
I like the look of all the sneakers you mentioned this time. What is the point of choosing sneakers, Nishimoto-san?

Nishimoto:I place more importance on visual impact than on materials and functions. I intuitively choose what I think is good. I also love collaborations. However, I don't care about rarity or market price, and I am not interested in so-called rare items.
What is the appeal of sneakers to you?
Nishimoto:Is it like a toy? Even if I don't wear them, I want to keep them with me as an object to admire. Sneakers are like that for me. I don't buy clothes at all anymore, but I can't stop wearing sneakers.
Your home today is filled to overflowing with boxes of sneakers.

Nishimoto:I'm getting to the point where I can no longer leave them at home (laughs). (Laughs.) Still, I can't stop wearing sneakers, can I?
Sneakers are addictive, aren't they? No matter how many you have, you always want more, one after another. Well, I can't stop talking about it, but it's time to get your friends to .......
Nishimoto:I would like to introduce Ken Kagami, who was mentioned earlier.
Kagami-san? Do you like sneakers?
Nishimoto:I do not know. But Kagami-san is catchy in his own right, and I think he will introduce interesting things from his unique perspective.
I see. Thank you very much for your time today!
