Okuda: . At a quick glance, the design is cool and evokes the image of a movie. Mr. Kayama, the movie actor, is so cool, isn't he? The style of the film itself was cool, and it was a good time.
Q. What is your current view of fashion?
Okuda: I don't dislike fashion, but I don't think I'm good at it . . I don't have any sense of fashion, like using colors (laughs). When I was in Unicorn, I was allowed to wear costumes, but after the band broke up and I was on my own, it became too much of a hassle to think of costumes, so I tried to make it look like I thought it was cool to keep wearing simple, easy-to-understand outfits (laughs).
(laughs).
Okuda: How easy it is, and the things that people see when they look at me and think, "That's just the way it is, isn't it? . A character who can dress the same way and not be offended. In other words, T-shirts and jeans. In the past, a T-shirt would have been expensive, but in fact it was expensive.

. Yes, that's right. I remember that Tamio-san used to be one of the fashion icons, just like Amurer (in the style of Namie Amuro) and Hamada (in the style of Masatoshi Hamada).
Okuda: (Laughs) . . I was in the category that didn't spend a lot of money. I was wearing vintage denim and a T-shirt, close to what Mr. Hamada was wearing. Now, I am not so particular anymore, and I can wear whatever I want. I ended up with clothes for merchandising (laughs). Whenever I appear on TV, I can use my clothes as my costume, so I don't have to think about it, and it's good for publicity. That's what I've been doing lately.
That's a kind of invention!
Okuda: . because I wear basic simple things, I can do that. . I only wear basic cotton clothes, so there is no such thing as dry cleaning. So far, I have been saying that I am particular about my clothes even though it seems that I am not, but that is gradually fading away (laughs). (Laughs.) Oh no, it turns out that I'm just not particular about it after all.
