Vol.1 Sneakers

Who is Nicolas Yuthanan, the world's hottest fashion icon? Why does he have so many Instagram followers? What does he think about? What kind of things does he make? There are so many questions we would like to ask him, but for this short Series project, we will focus our interview on three topics of Yuthanan's choosing: sneakers, cameras, and furniture. Let's find out more about the perspectives, thoughts, and ideas of this young creator who is skillfully navigating the age of social media through the keywords that surround him.

Utanan:They were first released in 2010 in the U.S.A., and were re-released this year for the 10th anniversary. At the time of the first release, I was still not that familiar with sneakers, but when I came to Japan in 2015, I visited a second-hand store and was impressed by all the "New Balance" products I had never seen in Europe. That's how I started to learn more about sneakers, and I've always wanted to buy this model. I don't always wear sneakers with bizarre designs or colors. I'm still drawn to authentic models, iconic low-tech shoes, and those with strong historical designs.

Utanan:I would say it is the easiest to match with anything among the models introduced today. I don't wear gray all over, but I think it's a versatile model that goes well with basic styling, a crisp style, and playful items.
