The new year has come and gone, but Corona still dominates the headlines. Reading.

Every year I somehow end the year, and after that I spend my days somehow, but this year I am somewhat in a reading mode. This year, however, I am in a reading mode. I am going to read all kinds of things, both fiction and non-fiction. I don't have a particular reason for this, but I guess I've become tired of the lightness of my existence.

NOAH x Barbour

Noah x Babur blouson and hat

Best Multiplication.

Lately, I have been strangely interested in colored and patterned items, and among them, this collaboration was the one that I fell in love with at first sight the moment I saw it. To be honest, I'm new to both brands. I can understand Noah's point of view, but you've never even worn Babur! I can hear you saying, "No, I've never worn Babur. Yes, I have. I feel that they are too rugged for me. I know that there are a lot of lightweight clothes made of lightweight materials, but they seem too lightweight to me. I always thought that [Noah] was a brand with great taste, but I didn't feel that I could relate to them. However, I really like the balance of sophistication and ruggedness that this collaboration has created. I used to think that collaborations were something that fans of either brand or both of them would buy, but as in this case, when two people who are somewhat interested in each other team up, they can create an extraordinary chemistry. It was a good learning experience for me.

James Grose

Leather blouson by James Grose

Sexuality and elegance coexist.

I don't see many people wearing leather anymore, or is it just my imagination? With lightweight and functional materials at the height of their popularity, it is not surprising that this is the case, but I personally would like to try on some riders this spring. If I had to choose between double or single, I would definitely go for single. I used to wear doubles, and there were times when I was in the mood for something with a lot of fancy details, but now I'm just fine with a clean, simple, minimalist taste. I naturally like "that one" by Maison Margiela, but I am equally interested in this one by James Grose. It's a gem of a dress that has been stripped down to the barest of details, and as a result radiates an incredible amount of sex appeal. Naturally, you want to wear it snug. The only problem is what to do with this selfish body.

SUNSPEL×SOPHNET.

Sunspel x Sofnet parka

If it is a logo thing like this.

I liked this parka the moment I saw it. It looked like one of those local parkas sold at street stalls in tourist spots. It was made of a crumbly material and had a very rough look to it. But when it is made with the super high quality materials of Sunspel and the elegant logo of Sofnet, it is so much more sofiscate. But, well, that's to be expected when these two companies work together. It is not particularly surprising. What is more important is that it has a "souvenir hoodie" feel. I'm not that good with logos, but this one really stuck out to me. Needless to say, this is a very personal impression, so I don't know if that's what the production side was aiming for or not.

VINTAGE

Vintage Beniwaren

I think I'm going to like glaze.

For a while, Beniwalen was all the rage. These are rugs woven by the Berbers, a mountain nomadic tribe of Morocco, in an area called Beniwalen. I looked for a rug myself, but I couldn't find one like it, so I ended up buying a Middle Eastern rug, and that was the end of my rug hunting trip for now. I was supposed to do that, but then I found this wonderful item at "Ron Herman". The best part is the color. When Beniwaren was popular, everyone was looking for white with black lines, and I was one of them. But, that color is very stained, of course. On the other hand, this rug has a gray base. It's not gray, it's more like a glaze (gray + beige). Anyway, I thought the color was fantastic, and fell in love with it at first sight. By the way, this is size M, and it is quite large (W:120mm, H:190mm), but the price is very reasonable. Hmmm... I'm torn.

Oh my gosh!

Corona, Corona, Corona. There has been some kind of a surge. Thanks to this, the events I was looking forward to were canceled, and the future of the Olympics is uncertain. I wonder if a savior will appear?

HERENESS.

Hyannes' Running Wear

A brand that feels good in both body and mind.

For me, running is an everyday activity, so it is desirable that my everyday clothes be runnable. This means, of course, design, functionality, and comfort, but I am even happier when I can share the feelings that I have realized while running. To this end, we introduce the recently debuted brand "Hyannes," which offers caps made from 57% recycled polyester, jersey-knit T-shirts made from 17.5 micron New Zealand merino wool, and shorts made from polyester derived from sugar cane. shorts made from polyester derived from sugarcane. Yet, they are as functional as sportswear and as stylish in design as possible. The length of the brim of the cap (4.8 cm!), the length of the shorts, and the pockets show the millimeter-by-millimeter attention to detail that goes into the manufacturing process. The brand "Hyannes" is comfortable for both the body and mind. We are looking forward to seeing the future development of this brand.

VIVO FOOTWEAR

Vivo Barefoot Shoes

Barefoot that fits in well with the city.

It is said that man has evolved by running. To hunt prey, to protect the friendship of meros, to convey a verdict promptly. There may be many reasons, but I believe that the extremely primitive act of running is one of the skills that mankind has in place to survive. In fact, if you take children to the park, they will innocently start running, and there is no pained expression on their faces. Rather, they run across the fields and mountains with smiles on their faces. The shoes I would like to choose for the pure enjoyment of running like that are shoes made by "Vivo Barefoot," the first British manufacturer of barefoot shoes. The distinctive feature of these shoes is that they do not have the ostentatious design that is typical of barefoot shoes. While they have a plain design that can be used in daily life, they give you the feeling of being barefoot, and allow you to regain the natural use of your feet. Furthermore, the environmentally friendly design is also an important point that should not be overlooked, as it actively uses recycled materials and no animal-derived materials are used. We are very interested in these body-friendly, earth-friendly barefoot shoes.

L.L.Bean

Elle Bean Pants

Versatile pants that follow you from town to the mountains.

I want to run in pants that are nothing special. If they have a straight silhouette that falls neatly, are moderately stretchy, have no superfluous design, and have the bare minimum of functionality, then that's all I need. In such cases, L.L. Bean is the one you can rely on. These "multisport pants" feature a standard fit with a straight silhouette that is slim from the waist to the thighs, and the four-way stretch blend material and slightly shallow inseam make it easy to move your legs when running. The waist is elasticized with a drawstring. Even if you dare to wear them oversized, you can adjust the fit of the waist part to your liking. Of course, the reasonable price is also attractive, as only L.L. Bean can offer. These pants are versatile enough for everyday wear, daily jogging, or even mountain climbing. We think it's a good idea to buy a pair for yourself.

Formthotics™.

Foam Sotics insoles

Shocking difference.

I had been satisfied with the insoles that came with my shoes and had never looked at them. However, when I tried them at a store near my office called "CONNECTED," I was amazed! What is this stability? That's how shocking my encounter with the Foam Sotics insole was. When I actually tried them on with my running shoes, I felt a little discomfort at first. However, as the days go by, they gradually adapt to my feet, and within two weeks, they fit perfectly, as if they were self-customized to my foot shape, depending on my body temperature, weight, and the effects of exercise. Moreover, they are ultra-lightweight and have a non-slip surface material that prevents foot slippage and is also flexible, so you can enjoy running more comfortably without interfering with the performance of your shoes. It is amazing how much of a difference a simple change of insole can make. We hope you will also experience this shock.

Like Elepare.

I finally got around to watching "The Electrical Parades". It was very interesting, just as the rumors said it would be. Shivatar's participation in RIZIN, Hikaru's simultaneous streaming on MX and YouTube, etc., all the contents we are interested in these days are all on YouTube. It's about time we at Huinamu also started to watch ......!

DAIWA PIER39 × L'ECHOPPE

Daiwa Pier 39 x Fishing Jacket by Reshop

A good jacket.

For example, Bob Dylan & the Band, William S. Burroughs and Allen Ginsberg in "Narcotics Letters," or "Mazinger Z vs. Devilman. When my favorite things are credited side by side, that alone gets me excited. That is why I was so excited when I found the fishing jacket co-created by "Daiwa Pier 39" and "Reshop" at the preview. The jacket is a short length jacket for fly fishing, and the fabric is GORE-TEX INFINIUM™, a stable and reliable material. It is made in an urban color palette of black and navy, and is oversized. There are a lot of fishing-related clothes on the market these days, but this one stands out from the crowd when it comes to sophistication. The collaboration between Daiwa Pier 39 and Reshop has exceeded all expectations.

Side Effects Eye Products

Side Effects Eye Products round glasses

Balance is the key to round spectacles.

For a long time, I have always aimed to have a "manga-like" face. For example, a symbolic face like Fujiko F. Fujio's manga characters is my ideal. I ended up with a three-piece set: mushroom hair, mustache, and round glasses. I have had this look for about 15 years. I am a firm believer in round glasses, and for celluloid frames, the lens diameter should be 40mm or 42mm, and the shape should be as close to a perfect circle as possible. The thickness of the fabric should be 4mm to 6mm, and I prefer a moderately assertive design. Simple and classic design, preferably made in Japan. However, Side Effects Eye Products' round eyeglasses, which debuted this spring, perfectly encompass all of these features and are tailored with the best balance. The most important feature is the flat front rim! By fitting flat lenses to this, you can get a tasteful look. It's a small difference that you may not notice at a glance, but this millimeter-by-millimeter attention to detail is what made this 15-year round eyeglass enthusiast so impressed. I want all the colors!

Marmot

Marmot Jacket

Enjoy gear as street wear.

Marmot is a well-known, authentic American outdoor brand. Although it is now building a solid position in the fashion scene through its efforts with various brands, it was originally a very hard-edged and honest high-performance brand. Marmot is quick to incorporate the latest functions and materials into its high-quality clothing. Among them, alpine-oriented clothing and down products are probably the most famous. Personally, I used to love down jackets and mountain parkas from the 80s and 90s. Because of this background, I have always paid attention to Marmot's alpine wear, but they also made some interesting fishing wear-style items. This time, I picked up a shell jacket with a shoulder vest made of a symbiotic fabric of the same color layered over it. The material is Dermizax. I don't fish, so I don't know much about its usability, but I just think the holster-like appearance is simply cool. I have a weakness for functional designs that have a specific purpose. I am sure there are many people who share my sense of enjoying such unfashionable items as fashion!

ORPHIC

Orphic slip-on sneakers

It's a mixture of things.

Room shoes come in a wide variety of designs, depending on the country or region. For example, wealthy people in European countries are familiar with velour upper with gold embroidery in the shape of opera pumps. Yes, the royal warrant of a certain brand. On the other hand, in the U.S., loafer-type rough shoes with a step on the heel are popular in California. You can often see them in outlaw styles such as Chicano and gangster. And now, the slip-on sneakers you see here. As you can see, it is a bold blend of the two room shoe designs mentioned above. The key word "room shoes" is the reason why the two are strangely harmonious, even though they have opposite tastes, dressy and casual, combined into one. And the bold design, which even includes a thick-soled sneaker sole, made us raise our flags. The sneakers have a variety of elements, so the styling range seems to be wider than you might think. Personally, I'd like to wear them with a West Coast style.

The door to life.

I was listening to TBS Radio's "Shinichiro Azumi's Sunday Heaven" when I heard Mariya Takeuchi's song "The Door of Life. It was the first time I heard her music, and I was so moved by the lyrics that I instantly became a captive of her music. I have been listening to her best album every day since then.

Sakai Blouson

A discussion of black clothing.

I wear only black clothes almost every day. Before I know it, my closet is completely black. It is not that I belong to any suspicious organization, but I just like black. I think there is no other color that can compare to black in terms of the strength of this color when you are fully clothed. It would be easier to understand if I describe it as a feeling of wearing armor. When I think about it again, it was COMME des GARCONS and Yohji Yamamoto that introduced this color to fashion, starting in 1982 when the two brands made their debut at the Paris Collection and were reported by the media as "the impact of black. If it were not for these two brands, I might not be wearing black today, and I feel once again the great influence that "Garçon" and "Yohji" have had on modern fashion. I have already said this, but the black clothes I am interested in right now are blousons by "SAKAI". Please take a closer look at it. It is a clever design that combines different military blousons on the left and right sides of the body. The black coloring makes it look not even uncomfortable. This is a typical example of "SAKAI," which chews up various elements of men's clothing and mixes them freely.

RIMOWA

Rimowa Backpacks

A bag, not a suitcase.

When I opened "d Magazine," a certain economic magazine caught my eye. The theme was "Predictions for 2021. Some analysts predicted that the Corona disaster would be over and the economy would recover, while other scholars said that the situation would not be over and there would be many difficulties ahead. It is difficult to predict the future, but difficult times offer opportunities. I believe that we have the potential to create new ideas that have never existed before. I think we have to think that way in order to survive. Rimowa, a suitcase manufacturer, newly presents "NEVER STILL," a collection of bags for everyday use, and among the five models, my personal recommendation is the one shown in the photo. The majority of backpacks are casual nylon ones, but this one has a more mature design with the use of leather. Of course, it has a compartment for a laptop computer and smartphone, and has been thoughtfully designed for ease of use. It can hold a lot of stuff, so it will definitely be useful at work. Perhaps it is the color, but the military look of this bag is also very appealing. To learn more, please see this article.

COMME des GARÇONS JUNYA WATANABE MAN

Comme des Garcons Junya Watanabe Man pants

Clothes that suit a grown man.

COMME des GARCONS JUNYA WATANABE MAN pursues various men's fashions such as work, military, and traditional, and creates clothes to the taste of professionals. This season, instead of the usual runway show, the collection was presented in the form of a lookbook. The models were men from different professions living in Japan. Their aged appearance was strangely persuasive and conveyed the depth of the brand's clothes. Among these, the painted pants in collaboration with "Levi's ®︎" caught my attention. I would call them "the work pants," and the stitching, which looks as if it were sewn at random, tickles men's hearts. What's more, the fact that they come with suspenders, which are rare nowadays, is also irresistible. If you want to go for a chic look, the black type might be better, and if you want to wear them in early spring, the white type might be better. Roll up the hems of both types to show off your saddle shoes and socks. Button-down shirts would go well with these tops. I wish I would age well like the men in the lookbook and look good in these pants.

OAO

O.A.O. Sneakers

Not a move, but a pair, released by an up-and-coming brand.

The sneaker scene is a battle of the crowds. The market shows no signs of slowing down. A new entrant into this ever-expanding market is "O.A.O.". The brand is the brainchild of fashion startup EPOQ, which operates a D2C business, delivering products made by the company directly to customers. While being independent, the brand is taking on a new challenge in the world of sneakers, which is said to be even more difficult than clothing. The photo shows a pair from the "Virtual nature" series, their second collection. The design is modern and black, but if you look closely, you will notice that both sides have a different color. These are aurora reflectors that change expression depending on the angle you look at them, giving a futuristic impression. The upper is made of eco-friendly "ECCO LEATHER" which is also a key point. In addition to the "Vibram" sole, the cork cushioning in the middle sole is not too soft and is designed for walking comfort. There is no harm in checking out this brand while you can.

The power of the universe at a certain snack bar.

Last year, I went to a snack bar that (apparently) only those in the know would know about. The mama there told me that she could heal the bad part of my body with the power of the universe, so I decided to have her treat me. When I held my hand over the bad part of my body, the mom's thumb moved so much. The way she moved her thumb was like the universe.

AZTEC CBD

Aztec CBD candies and waxes

We look forward to serving you again this year.

CBD has become so popular in Japan that CBD-infused coffee can be found everywhere. Some people may still be skeptical about its effectiveness, but after taking CBD in various ways and types for the past year, I can say that "the ones that work work work, and the ones that don't work don't work. However, the Aztec CBD is generally very good. If you want to feel the effects of CBD, I definitely recommend wax. Even if you can't feel the effects of oil or gummy bears, you should be able to feel them if you inhale with a vaporizer. In the center is an easy-to-operate vaporizer from AIRIS. Fill it with the wax shown on the right and inhale. One inhale will make you feel a little heavier, and you will be able to get a good night's sleep. The one on the left is a recently released CBD candy, which can also be used in combination with the wax. It can also relieve the weird tiredness of the corona disaster.

HESTRA

Globe of Hestra

Not too thin and not too thick.

I bought a pair of Deerskin gloves from Hestra around 2010, and I still use them. I know it's not a glove shop that makes the best gloves, but as a brand that specializes in gloves, they fit well and are very durable. I also like the Swedish design. However, the Deerskin model is for mountain use, and this one is for town use. It can be used as a first layer of gloves and is touch screen compatible. The fabric is medium-thick, and this one piece will protect you from the cold in the city. I also ride my bicycle in the winter and have no problem with just this one layer. I thought about a GORE-TEX model, but I decided to go with this one from an easy-care point of view.

Amulets of Uca Series

I can't be a beauty boy, but I like this kind of thing.

At the end of last year, Huinamu also ran a feature on "beauty men. However, I am sure that readers who are over 30 years old do not feel like "men" and are uncomfortable with the word "beauty". So, it might be better to think of them not as "beauty guys" but rather as "clean uncles. I don't wear make-up myself, but I do use good milky lotion, hand soap, and other such small things. My recent favorite is "Amulet series" by Uka. The hand soap in particular is quite good, and although I wash my hands more often than usual, my hands feel moisturized every time I wash them. The same goes for the body wash. And every time I push it, I am soothed by the fresh fragrance. Also, although not shown here, I have recently been using a scalp brush from Uka, which feels super nice when I use it after warming up in the bath. LOS ANGELES APPAREL

Los Angeles Apparel Turtleneck Sweatshirt

Where is that from? I ask, "Los Angeles Apparel.

In 2007, I went to the U.S. for the first time and went to Melrose Avenue in Los Angeles and bought a lot of "American Apparel" instead of second-hand clothes (even though I could buy them in Japan). (Even though you can buy it in Japan, too.) I felt America in the huge logo of the store and the one-story building. In 2016, American Apparel withdrew from Japan. There were many fans of the store, so on the last day of business in Japan, many people came to see the store. The former CEO of the store launched LOS ANGELES APPREL. The name may have shrunk from the U.S. to Los Angeles, but the production has been updated. For study purposes, I try to ask "Where is it from? I try to ask "Where?" when I see something someone is wearing that interests me, and I think it was around last summer that I started to hear "Los Angeles Apparel" more often. This winter, I've seen a lot of stylists and others wearing the brand. In addition, the opening of the flagship store in Harajuku. It's definitely making waves. I also like the turtleneck's cozy feel.
