Can Supreme become vintage in the future?
. It is interesting to see how each store's color comes out even with the same theme. Lastly, I would like to ask each of you to describe what you find interesting about "Supreme" from the viewpoint of "New Vintage".
Sakamoto: We tend to be drawn to limited editions and collaborations, but the two members of "Blue Room" have taught me that there is a different way to enjoy inline items. Earlier, you mentioned sampling vintage clothing, and I am sure that by researching and searching for the original source material, a new door will open up for you. I believe that Supreme is the link between you and the new vintage.
Kasai-Hazuki: . It is true that most items have sampling sources. By digging through vintage clothing, I think we will be able to enjoy fashion from a larger perspective than just street style. Supreme" has a lot of information that we dare not announce, but the more you dig, the more you know, the more you can enjoy. Music, movies, sports, art, etc., etc., it takes you to a world you never knew existed, so I would be happy if the younger generation could enjoy vintage clothing and various cultures using "Supreme" as a gateway.
Aoki: It doesn't really matter to Supreme what was selling well or not at the time of release, does it? The number of models for each season is huge, so if you dig around, you can still find items that you have never seen before. Moreover, because certain items are inevitably popular, these ordinary items are inexpensive. And yet, they don't look like anyone else's! I think this is a great way for people to experience the joy of buying such items.
Ito: Isn't this the most modest crosstalk in the history of the "Supreme" feature so far? (laughs). Usually, when we do a project like this, we bring a collaboration piece or a rare item that has reached a premium as our pride and joy, but no one brought anything like that (laughs). (Laughs) But I guess that's the strength of "Supreme" that they can still pull it off. Just like so-called vintage clothing, you need to have a comprehensive knowledge of not only the item itself, but also the surrounding culture and historical background to make a choice. (Laughs) Although it is a brand that is difficult to be evaluated in-line, I felt again that in the end, that is the true essence of this brand.
