What was the story of how you got into the store?

Tsuruta:I used to work for an automobile company, which had nothing to do with apparel. But I still loved fashion, and one day, when I came to Tokyo for a visit, my current director invited me to join him. He was a classmate of mine from high school, but unlike me, he had a lot of media exposure, and I envied him, so I quit my job and moved to Tokyo three years ago.

I see. I would like to ask you about your personal life. What do you usually do on your days off?

Tsuruta:I don't get out much these days, so I guess I stay at home and watch cartoons. Before Corona, I used to go shopping for vintage clothes with the director and go on location scouting for the next look. . Since we are classmates, we are close to each other in planning the brand.

We asked you to choose " Puebco " as a store to buy a gift for Valentine's Day in February. Could you tell us why?

Tsuruta:I like the interior design and thought this would be a good place to choose a lighter Valentine's Day theme, regardless of gender. I want them to say, "Your present is a no-brainer!" I'd like them to say (laughs).

Tsuruta:I chose it because it looks comfortable and because I spend a lot of time at home in my stay-home, so I thought something like this would make me feel better. The color is my favorite.

. It is a practical and stylish item. By the way, since you like interior design, what are your hobbies?

Tsuruta:. I like a studio-like room rather than a smart room. I like to make things in a small room, either by DIY, looking on the internet, or buying things from Puebco.

I wanted to create a room that I could personalize and make it my own, and that's how I started to focus on this. The office of our president, Mr. Mihara, is quite nice. It's chaotic, but it's organized, and there are a lot of artistic things there. I sometimes create rooms inspired by such things.

Do you have anything in mind when buying gifts?

Tsuruta:I want to buy or tell them what I recommend . I think about what the other person wants, and then I choose the one I want to recommend, aiming for the middle ground between that and what I want to recommend. I think about what the girl said the other day that she wanted a cap, and then I have my own opinion of what brand would suit her, and I combine these two together in my selection. I value that kind of thing. I try to shift the selection a little from what she wants.

That's a very mature choice!

Are there any big news events happening around you?

Tsuruta:A friend of mine, a J-Leaguer, is now in the first digit of his number! I was personally happy about that. Last year he was number 20, but this year he is number 8, and it seems that he has become one of the main members of the team. He is a player named Hayato Mori of Mito Holy Hockey Club, and although it is not my story, I was very happy.
