France and the environment as expressed by Aigle and RIN at Ross Flower.

Environmental issues have long been a concern. If global warming continues at this rate, sea levels will rise, species will perish, and, although it may sound a bit exaggerated, it will become difficult to live on the earth. The reason why we see and hear the word "sustainable" so often nowadays is because we are beginning to gather such data. AEGLE has changed its policy to be more environmentally conscious. We have always advocated coexistence with nature, but we are now taking it one step further. The start of this effort was with RIN, a well-known Ross Flower company.

An environmentally friendly wardrobe and a lifestyle with flowers.

The term "loss flower" was coined by Haruka Kawashima of "RIN," and refers to flowers that are destined for disposal at flower stores, wedding venues, and event sites. RIN" has been involved in a number of projects in which these lost flowers are turned into dried flowers and used for store interiors and objets d'art. The appeal of this project is that our casual actions of admiring and appreciating flowers can contribute to maintaining a sustainable ornamental plant market.

AIRGLE's items that aim to coexist with nature, and RIN's loss flowers that breathe life into discarded flowers. Fate and necessity have brought about this collaboration at Aigle's Harajuku store, which will be decorated with Ross Flowers until April 25.

The catchphrase that "RIN" came up with for this initiative is "FEEL THE EARTH WITH FLOWERS - an environmentally conscious lifestyle with wardrobe and flowers. Kawashima explains his thoughts on these words and the interior artwork.

Aigle and Faguio are both French brands, so I wanted to incorporate French elements first. Also, the collaboration items this time are based on the blue of the sky, khaki similar to grass and trees, and the color of soil, so I searched for the best idea to match those colors. What came to mind was the rich natural landscape of the Alsace region of France. I wanted to express a birch forest with moss growing underfoot and long trunks in the store, so I decorated it with real birch trunks and moss.

Moss inspired by the foot of a birch forest in Alsace, France.

In addition, the company was conscious of the Harajuku store's location in the heart of the city. The store is a street-front store along Meiji-dori. Although there are parks and street trees nearby, it is far from a natural landscape. Kawashima, who himself studied abroad in France for a short period of time, explains, "I wanted to create a place where people could enjoy the natural landscape.

In France, there are many landscapes where nature and the city coexist. In Tokyo, you have to go out of your way to experience nature, but in France, you can experience nature on a daily basis. So we decorated the store so that ross flowers, succulents, moss, and tree trunks blend with the original interior and the scenery outside the store, expressing a French landscape that blends in with nature.

AIGLE's signature rubber boots are decorated with Ross Flowers, and from April 22 onward, customers who bring their clothing or rubber boots to AIGLE's Harajuku store will be able to exchange them for swags made from Ross Flowers.

As part of its eco-conscious efforts, will start collecting clothing and rubber boots at some of its stores on April 22. In addition, if you have them collected at the Harajuku store, "RIN" will make small swags of the ross flowers used for this interior design in limited quantities and give them to you.

The decorations are not only used in the store, but are also recycled at home for ornamental purposes. This is the model that Aigle and RIN are aiming for, a style that contributes to a sustainable society through our natural actions without overdoing it.

The positive impact of AEGLE on the environment and people will continue. In the summer, a larger action is planned. We will continue to focus on how AEGLE is taking a more proactive approach to the earth by shortening the distance between the company and its customers.
