I'm plotting to go to a festival with this thing this year.
What kind of shoe is the "All Star" for you?
In my mind, they are "a part of my daily life" that I wear when I go for a walk in the neighborhood. However, in fact, I rarely have the opportunity to wear them myself, and I have only ever worn high-cut shoes.... The reason for this is that I am the type of person who loosens all the shoelaces when I put on and take off my shoes, so the shoelaces are a hassle (laughs).
So, what would you say from a photographer's point of view?
I think the worn-in, worn-out appearance of these sneakers is a perfect match for them. When taking photos, I dare to untie the laces and let them hang down roughly, which is cool and picturesque.

The "All Star Lite" shoes you are wearing this time are inspired by gladiator sandals. While retaining the "originality" of the sandals, they are functional, with a lightweight injection E.V.A. sole.
. It is true that the sole is integrally molded and well made, and they are light and comfortable to wear. In my case, I do a lot of field shooting in the mountains and at the beach, so I think I will be able to use them quite a bit. And the belt design is very convenient. The "light" in the name of the model means that they are lightweight, and since they hold firmly, I felt a sense of oneness with my feet. The one-tone colors are easy to match without being gaudy, which is great for adults.

What is the point of today's coordination?
. I was thinking of wearing them with shorts, thinking of how they would look at an outdoor festival. When I actually tried them on, I thought they would look great with socks. Personally, I am particular about the use of color when I wear socks with sandals. If the socks are white, there is too much contrast with the shoes, so I tried to blend them with beige.

Ikemoto-san, when did you start going to festivals?
I started working as an assistant when I was 26 or 27 years old. I was helping out at the "FUJIROCK FESTIVAL" at the time, and I met the editor-in-chief of an outdoor magazine there, who offered me a job. These days, 90% of my festival trips are for work, but even when I go on private trips, I almost always dress this way. I don't dress too rigidly outdoorsy, but more as an extension of my normal attire. . So, it is a good thing that my feet are light.
You usually wear boots on your feet, but do you wear boots at festivals as well?
. I used to wear sports sandals in the beginning, but now I basically wear boots. However, if I wear sandals, I can just dry them off when they get wet, so I think the "All Star Lite" shoes I wore this time will be just as useful. . I do a lot of moving around at the festival site, so mobility is important. . I am planning to go to a festival this year with them.
