What does "champion" mean to each of you?

I know that Champion is a brand that you have been familiar with for a long time, but when did you start to be aware of it as a fashion item?
Plain:I was about 20 years old. My parents loved vintage clothing, and I naturally fell in love with vintage and American casual wear. Champion" was in every thrift store, and I bought all the sweatshirts I could find. I collected a lot of Reverse Weave® sweatshirts.
Reverse Weave® is the gateway to vintage clothing and a masterpiece forever, isn't it? How about you, Mr. Sho?
Sho:I was about 18 years old. I liked the "Pyrex Vision" brand that Virgil Abloh was running at the time as a predecessor to "Off-White," and I liked a bit of upper-class clothing.

Wow! It's hard to imagine from the current atmosphere, but there was a time when that was the case (laughs).
Sho:There was (laughs). (Laughs.) I liked high brands, and I started to gravitate toward the high street. I guess that's how I became aware of "Pyrex Vision," which made T-shirts using "Champion" body material. So I didn't start with vintage clothing, but with street brands and independent brands.

I see. How about you, Asai-san?
Asai:I've been around since I was about 18 years old . I started to like hip-hop a lot and started to "dig" it. I used to get really excited when I found a "Made In USA" tag on a pair of "Champion" jeans. I was looking for items that were not American casual, but rather bright yellow with a big logo, like the ones you see in the 90's hip-hop music videos! I was looking for items like that and wearing them.
Sho:It's cool, isn't it? The one with the big "C" logo.

Plain:There are many kinds and colors to choose from, so it's quite interesting to find the one you like best.
. I guess that's the mood I'm in right now. To begin with, what kind of image do you have of "champions"?
Plain:. I have a strong impression of the brand as a running and sports brand. If you look at the old name tags, you will see a logo with a runner's motif called a "runner's tag. This may have subconsciously imprinted a running image on my mind.
Asai:Nowadays, everyone wears vintage clothing, and Reverse Weave® is popular, but I think Champion is the gateway to vintage clothing and street fashion. I think Champion is a brand that everyone can easily get their hands on.

Plain:Logos and colors vary from item to item, and some items have hoods and others do not, so it is interesting to start collecting them. I feel that many of the items become more and more familiar to me as I wear them, and I become more and more attached to them.
