Do you usually wear your own brand, Eldresso, when you run?
AQZAWA:Yes, I do. . that is also a motivation for me to run. I design my clothes to lift runners' spirits and make them feel happy, and I try to make clothes that make them feel excited when they wear them.
I think it's possible to pursue design too much and have inferior functionality, and vice versa.
AQZAWA:Of course, we are conscious of functionality. However, we try not to go beyond that. If we focus on functionality, it is obvious that sports brands can make better products. That is why we at Eldresso are conscious of what is not there. That is fashion.
I think that could cause a lack of performance.
AQZAWA:It could be in seconds. But I think it's more important to focus on the tension of running and the mindset while running.
Today, I asked you to wear "New Balance" clothing. Frankly speaking, how did you like it?
AQZAWA:I had an image of "New Balance" as being very solid, but I was surprised to find that it is designed in a way that adds up to something unexpected.

AQZAWA:For example, there are pockets on the back of the waist and on the thighs for a phone, etc. . I thought that many of the items would have a more casual design, but I was glad to see that they were made in a way that added more than just that. After all, these are items from a sports brand, so the comfort is perfect.
What kind of shoes are you particular about?
AQZAWA:. We are focusing on functionality. . I would say 70% functionality and 30% design. Cushioning is especially important. I used to wear thin-soled shoes, but they left me feeling very fatigued, so I stopped wearing them.

AQZAWA:To be honest , it was crazy good. The cushioning is so great that it rebounds and speeds up, or rather, you can feel a sense of speed. . And it is light. I didn't expect it to be so light.
Do you think you can go long distances?
AQZAWA:Yes, I think I can do it , I think. It was better than I had imagined. This is my first time wearing New Balance shoes, but I would like to try other models. I really didn't check them out (laughs). Also, I've been wanting to wear white shoes lately. . These shoes fit that feeling as well.
White is the color for the base color, and the base color is "Habanero". Why did you choose this color?
AQZAWA:I chose it for its flamboyance (laughs). I've always liked yellow , and I like the white color with a hint of white in it. I was on the track team when I was in school , and I shied away from black shoes. . because they look heavy. So my mind was somehow carried away by that, and my feet felt heavy. I'm sure that's not true in reality (laughs). (Laughs) But white makes you feel light. That's why I like this coloring.
