Havaianas" is a lifestyle brand from Brazil that has become increasingly common here in Japan. Inspired by Japanese zori sandals, the brand's classic flip-flops are now loved around the world and recognized as a world standard item. The secret may lie in the designs that suit everyone and the wide variety of styles. For this issue, we have asked 30 fashion-conscious men and women of different generations and styles to try on a pair of flip-flops over a period of three months. For the second installment, in June, we have 10 fashionistas who have shown us their refreshing outfits that feel like early summer.

What kind of occasions would you like to wear "Hawaiianas" sandals?

. I would love to leisurely walk along the river in these flip flops on a sunny day.

I have recently started living alone , and would like to try DIY!

What did you think when you tried on the "Hawaiianas" sandals?

When I was in my 20s, I stayed in Spain and wore a pair of "Hawaiianas" flip flops. They are still as comfortable as ever, but I feel fresh when I wear them again now.

Do you have a particular fashion style you are interested in this year?

I have started to choose clothes with a one-size-smaller silhouette than last year, and I have become a little more conscious of my age and more traditional dress!

What are you into these days?

I just love watching soccer, and recently I've been playing the game "Winning Eleven" (laughs).
