The first morning is promising. Who will be the first to catch a fish?

That's a lot of space!" I was surprised to see the vastness of Lake Biwa. The vastness of Lake Biwa is realized once again when we go out to sea. In addition to that, the beautiful morning sun is also rising, making for a perfect sailing experience. I think it is only on Lake Biwa that you can experience such surprise and excitement. It looks like the sea, but it is not. Even the distant horizon looked different from the sea. Lake Biwa is divided into North Lake and South Lake by the Lake Biwa Bridge, but in reality, the majority of the lake is actually North Lake. The northern lake is so large that without a GPS, there is a risk of getting lost. And since there are countless spots, it seems to be difficult to conquer without the company of someone who is familiar with the area. We arrived at the first spot after a brisk ride on the lake in a bass boat that can reach speeds of nearly 100 kilometers per hour.
Hasegawa:This wand (the lake bottom is deeply gouged like a cove) has recovering bass before and after spawning at this time of the year, so let's try it right away.
Each of us started preparing with our guides. Then, immediately, "First pitch! On the first throw! was shouted by a voice. The voice was Hiramoto-san. He caught a nice bass on his first cast!

After the island:I was going to throw a worm on the first cast, but I thought there were bass feeding (chasing and preying on small fish), so I had them reel in a big crank as fast as they could.
Hiramoto:I bought a number of [KVD] magnum cranks that I wanted to use in Lake Biwa and changed all the hooks to get ready. Perhaps my enthusiasm must have rubbed off on the bass, because it suddenly became heavy as I was gorging it on my first cast, and what I caught was a plump 52.5 cm fish!
No one had even thrown the ball yet, but we all felt, "What if today is the day? We all felt "What if today is the day? After a while, Mr. Hasegawa also started to ......!

Five hours had passed. After a good start, the TEAM DAIWA members decided to move on and headed for Shiraishi offshore. This is a famous spot in Lake Biwa where rocks protrude about 20 meters from the water's surface. This is a good place to catch bass this time of year, although they may be small. He said that he understood our desire to catch one bass first, not the size, and dropped in on us as a sightseeing trip. Rain was forecast from noon, but there was no sign of rain. We cast again under the pleasant weather!
