Takahashi Lamda's Delivery Styling for HOUYHNHNM's. Vol.3 Sand Suede Shoes Part 1

Once clothing lovers of any age get together, there is no end to the conversation about great products and styles. While such opportunities have become rare in our daily lives due to the national emergency and voluntary restraint from going out, two old acquaintances of Ms. Lambda visited us for this edition of HOUYHNHNM's Delista. Mr. Takayuki Fujii, designer of "Non-Native," and Mr. Hiroshi Doidi, communications director of "BEAMS" and representative of the new company "BEAT. They are now both alumni of the same generation who stood on the store floor at the same time, even though they have each established their own distinct positions and accomplishments. The theme of this, their second big talk, was a very biased one: "sand suede shoes. This time, we will deliver the true expressions of the experts, their passion that still hasn't cooled down even after they became adults, and the situation of their favorite items!

Lambda:Oh, it's a special order. So that's why it's GORE-TEX.

Fujii:Yes, about three years ago . I really wanted to do it in this " Padmore " color. . and I wanted to do it in the same stitching as the "Irish Setter".

Lambda:You mean you wanted it to look like Red Wing?

Fujii:. yes, yes. . but the only leather available for gores was this color. It would have been interesting if I could have added black-and-white and black-and-white stitching. . But I thought it would look like military boots in this way.

Lambda:This one tone gray-beige look is beautiful. Do you have any more of this? Give it to me.

Fujii:I don't have any (laughs).

Doidi:(Laughter).

Lambda:This, I didn't know about this.

Fujii:Maybe because I was out when Lambda was in Paris or something (laughs).

Lambda:. when I was in Paris. . I think the fur is a little long.

Fujii:Yes, it is. A little longer .

Lambda:I guess the fur is very important. In suede. This dry look of "Russell" or "Timber" is nice.

Fujii:. It varies a lot from country to country. In Europe, such as Ireland, the fur is like this " Padmore " and in Italy, it is very fine. And in the U.S., it's ......

Lambda:That's rough (laughs).

Doidi:The direction of the fur is different in different parts of the body, right? American ones.

Fujii:. This "Russell" is a single piece of leather, so it's even more so. This "Timber" is made in China , a more functional leather.
