In the field:I used to see the crew of LQQK STUDIO in New York wearing them and they were so cool. Influenced by them, I bought them at "Foot Locker" when I went to New York about three years ago. They are not a collaboration or special order, but a regular inline pair.

In the field:That may be true. But I had the impression that all the hot guys in New York were wearing them at one time. Personally, I like the look and comfort of these shoes.

In the field:I have a strong desire not to be the same as others. That is one of my criteria when choosing sneakers.
When I go abroad, I look for sneakers that are not sold in Japan. Although I am not able to go to New York now due to Corona, I make it a rule to buy at least one pair of sneakers on my trip to New York twice a year.
Now that everything is global and the distribution of sneakers has flattened out, isn't it difficult to find something that can't be bought in Japan?
In the field:Yes, there is that aspect, but it is still fun to visit sneaker shops abroad. Sometimes you can find unexpected bargains.
How many pairs of sneakers do you own now?
In the field:I think I have 100 pairs. I am not a sneaker collector, but as I bought things I liked, the number of sneakers I bought grew and grew.
How do you store a large number of sneakers?
In the field:I have boxes stacked in rows along the walls from the front door to the hallway of my house. I can't put them all away any longer (laughs). I get rid of clothes when I don't wear them anymore, but I can't get rid of sneakers even when I don't wear them anymore, strangely enough.
