It's like a cool sublimation of cheesiness and humor in a good way.
Matsuo-san, how did you become involved?
Baba:When I was in Fukuoka, I worked at a certain clothing store, and Takashi (Matsuo-san) was a regular customer. After that, I found out that he started working at "manucoffee," and we started making mugs together and holding events together at the store.
Takashi can make coffee, hold events, and create goods with Shuntaro and other artists through his connections in Fukuoka, so when he said he was going independent, I asked him to join me.

Keisuke Matsuo Born in 1985 . After gaining experience at "manucoffee" in Fukuoka, he became independent and opened his own coffee shop at "HIROPPA" at the invitation of Baba, an old friend. The management and direction of this park is also Matsuo's work.
Matsuo:. I had always wanted to become independent and open my own restaurant. Then, around the time I started my own business in January of the year before last, Masahei approached me. It is a rare experience in life to be able to create a park, isn't it? I told him right away that I would do it.
I think it's an experience that's hard to come by, but did you feel any pressure?
Matsuo:. Since I felt like I was working together with Masahira, I didn't feel that much. I had a general idea of what he would like about the building and the overall image.
What kind of atmosphere do you think Baba-san likes?

Matsuo:My personal interpretation is that rather than seeking beauty, it is more like a cool sublimation of street elements, cheapness in a good sense, and humor. I thought that was very "MARUHIRO" like. For the design of this park, I did not propose several candidates, but rather pinpointed one and said, "I think this person would be good. I suggested that he would be a good choice.
I had always wanted to be independent, so I had always fantasized about what I would like to do if I were to open my own store. That is when I became interested in architecture and design, and before I knew it, I had become an expert (laughs).
What design firm did you propose?
Matsuo:This is Daisuke Motoki's "DDAA" office, which works with world-famous brands.

Baba:Even if you make a lot of suggestions, we don't know what to expect (laughs). (Laughs.) The first person who makes a suggestion is that person's recommendation. So when Mr. Motoki was suggested, I thought it was a good idea. The fact that he was using a Marcel Breuer chair in a photograph was also a deciding factor. I really wanted a chair (laughs).
Matsuo:Mr. Motoki was born in 1981, and it was also important to us that he was born in the same year as us. It is easier to communicate with people who are close in age.
Baba:With people who are called "masters," it is difficult to work together on an equal footing. This is not the case with people of the same age, and when we get older, it will be easier for us to work together again.
