Baba:Hmmm... I don't know. But I've never thought about not wanting to work. After all, I don't think about it much (laughs).
Matsuo:You didn't go for it (laughs).
Baba:Because I am working with people I get along well with, I can work as I normally do. And since I trust everyone, it is easier for me to entrust work to them than to strangers. If I had any doubts, I wouldn't be able to get along with them in the first place.
However, I will tell them what I like and dislike. By repeating this, my colleagues will understand what I like. In this way, we are building a relationship of trust.
. I took a cab to this place, and the driver knew about HIROPPA. . I heard that people in the town are also looking forward to it.
Baba:That makes me happy. There is a local cable TV station called Hasami Cable Television, and we put an ad on it, with music composed by Poppy Oil, which plays four times a day. The old men often watch it.
Baba:The old craftsmen who took care of us also said, "It's nice," when they came here and left. That made me very happy. I think it will become even more interesting when plants start growing here again. We want to make this a place of relaxation for the people of the town. There are many kindergartens and nursery schools in the area, and I would like them to come here for field trips.
Matsuo:I am looking forward to the opening. I think we have created an interesting park, and we have plans to invite Delta and others to hold events once Corona is settled. Since we were not able to hold any events this year, we would like to do a few more next year. It doesn't have to be a pottery event, and I would like to expand the scope of the event in that sense.
. I think you've already expanded the boundaries enough. Normally, people wouldn't think of building a park.
Baba:That is often said (laughs). But it was much less flexible than I had originally envisioned. I would have liked it to be more like an injury. When we were playing in the park, we were getting hurt all the time. But since this is our private property, it seems that we are responsible for any problems that may occur. When I learned that, I shrank in size (laughs). (Laughs.) So, although the plan is much milder than originally planned, we still want it to be a place where children can not only play, but also learn. I have the message "A FUN PLACE BUT ALSO DANGEROUS" attached to the "HIROPPA" logo.
Matsuo:When creating a place like this, there were many negative comments, such as "It is dangerous to do that" and so on. Of course, we took this into consideration and came up with a lot of ideas, but even so, I think it would be difficult to eliminate all concerns. . That is why we plan to put up signs in the park to warn the public.
Baba:Delta's work also has sharp corners (laughs). (laughs) . I hope the children understand that they should not play recklessly in such places. . I would also like to enjoy the changes in this park as time goes by. I don't think this is the end of the project. . When we reach the 10th anniversary, I would like to have a big party.
Lastly, please tell us about the future prospects and goals of MARUHIRO.
Baba:I want to live a long, thin, and enjoyable life.
It doesn't have to be thick?
Baba:. It would be very difficult if a thick trunk were to snap (laughs). I want to be more flexible than that, and I hope to grow rich with the people I meet. I would like to be able to grow together with the people I meet. I would like this to continue to circulate to the next generation and the generation after that. . I have recently refrained from saying specifically what I want to do. If an article says, "I want to build a park," I will have to do it for real (laughs). (Laughs.) But I would love nothing more than to use HIROPPA as an opportunity to make contact with more people, regardless of generation, gender, and so on.
