When was the first time you wore "PUMA SUEDE"?
Ezaki:. I have worn so many different pairs and kept buying more, that I honestly don't remember them (laughs). I still have quite a few pairs of "PUMA SUEDE" at home, and I even have a corner in my shoe box. Compared to other sneakers, these are the most numerous.
Why are there so many "PUMA SUEDE"?
Ezaki:I think it's a versatile item, and it's a good way to have a good hassle-free look. For example, let's say you have an authentic style. . By daring to wear "PUMA SUEDE" instead of leather shoes, we can see a glimpse of your sense of style. . The styling has a hint of street culture, such as dance and hip-hop.
When you work as a stylist, do you often suggest "PUMA SUEDE" to your clients?
Ezaki:I also bring them to skaters and dancers, as well as to motor culture media. I often make proposals that involve culture.
I am surprised to hear about the motor culture.
Ezaki:. There was a fashion project a few years ago that matched "Ferrari," and I decided to wear "Puma" on all of my feet. I collaborated with "Ferrari" on a model. According to what I heard, they collaborate with Ferrari every season. I myself like old American cars and motorcycles, and I usually wear vintage clothes. When I ride a motorcycle, I feel more comfortable in high-cut shoes, but I often wear "PUMA SUEDE" shoes because they look good on my feet. . They sometimes get dirty from engine oil splashing on them, but that's also a nice touch.

Ezaki:When I was styling a TV personality, I was asked to prepare a rare pair of shoes for him, and I asked him to wear a pair of vintage black and silver shoes made in Yugoslavia. When I saw them, I wanted to have a pair myself, so I asked the brand about it, and they told me that they were making a reissue of the "PUMA SUEDE" just in time for its 50th anniversary. So I got them when they went on sale.
What is the point of this model?
Ezaki:. First of all, the silhouette. . The nose is longer and sleeker than usual. The laces have 8 holes, one more than usual, so there is a firm hold. The tongue is also thinner and has a cut-out design. You may not be able to tell the difference at a glance, but if you look closely, you will see a totally different atmosphere. I like sleek sneakers, so these are really perfect. . However, I accidentally missed out on buying a stock of them, and I've been taking good care of them, caring for them with Shoe Goo and washing them repeatedly.
How do you like "PUMA SUEDE CREPE" this time?
Ezaki:This is the first time we have used a crepe sole, isn't it? . But it doesn't seem so surprising, I think it's because it fits in so well. Crepe soles are a well-balanced combination of elegance and casualness, and I get the impression that they go well with traditional clothes. . So I decided to pair them with a checkered coat and corduroy pants for a casual but classy autumnal combination. It also seems to go well with old clothes. . There is no word "SUEDE" under the brand's logo on the side. Is this based on a vintage model?
There is a model called "Suede Vintage" that uses the lasts from the 70s and 80s , which is the motif of these shoes.
Ezaki:Yes, the instep is wider than other inlines. . The foam strip is a little cleaner. . This is just a feeling I have, but I am attracted to classic styles, so I really like the way it looks.
As a fan, is there anything you would like to see PUMA do?
Ezaki:I feel that "PUMA" is very environmentally conscious. They have released eco-friendly models, and for a while, they did not make shoe boxes, but sold their shoes in non-woven bags. In this day and age, such activities are required of companies, and I would like to see them put more and more effort into environmental issues. I think this will attract new fans.
