It is also a fun way to enjoy the local nature of teams and vintage clothing.

Baseball caps have a strong local flavor, such as those worn by local teams. Mr. Kurihara, you have traveled all over the U.S. Do you find any regional characteristics in your vintage clothing as well?
The real difference is in denim. From California to Arizona and New Mexico, there is an overwhelming majority of "Levi's," but as soon as you enter Texas, it is all "Wrangler. Aside from clothing, Native American jewelry and Chimayo blankets can also be found in Arizona and New Mexico. Also, newsprint bags from local newspapers are easy to find, as are sweatshirts and T-shirts from minor universities.
However, famous universities like the Ivy League are not the only ones. Since it is an honor to be admitted, there seems to be a custom for parents to distribute T-shirts and other merchandise with the logo to all relatives, which is why they are found even in far-flung regions and in such large quantities.
Do the items actually worn differ by area?
There is some difference, though not as much as in the past. So today, I have put together two coordinating themes for East and West America.

The East Coast-inspired style features a cap from the Boston Red Sox, the roots of "Forty-Seven," a Carhartt hunting jacket, Champion reverse weave, and Ivy Leaguers' favorite "Clarks" desert boots on the feet. The "Clarks" desert boots are a favorite of Ivy Leaguers.
Carhartt, like Lee, a major player in the industry, originated in the Midwest, but its market share is dominated by the eastern part of the United States, perhaps because it was born in Michigan, which is located east of the Midwest, while Lee, which is located in Kansas, west of the Midwest, is strong in the west. In addition, hunting was popular among the wealthy people of the East in the old days, and is an item with a strong Eastern image. In addition, the Beastie Boys and Carhartt are essential to the hip-hop style of the East Coast in the 1990s. As a brand from Detroit, where it is very cold, Carhartt is good at making outerwear with high warmth protection, and in the cold winters in the East, Carhartt is widely loved by everyone from fashionable young people to regular old men.
Champion" also originated in New York and is currently based in North Carolina, so it has a strong East Coast image. Like the outerwear, I chose a mock neck reverse weave with pockets on the waist.

The West Coast style, on the other hand, is the LA Dodgers cap.
As I mentioned earlier, the West is the sole domain of "Levi's," so it is denim trucker jackets. Also for sweatshirts, you don't see many people wearing reverse weave in LA. Perhaps thick, heavy fabrics are not suited to California's warm climate. Stussy in the 1990s also had reverse weave bodies, but even though it is an LA brand, it is strongly influenced by New York culture, and in fact, some designs using reverse weave have "STUSSY NEW YORK" printed on them. In fact, some of the reverse weave designs have "STUSSY NEW YORK" printed on them.
Young people in L.A. tend to wear lightweight sweatshirts, so today I selected a polyester blend from the 1980s with a Mickey Mouse motif, since this is Disney's home turf. Finished off with a pair of Vans sneakers, everything is styled in a California style.

In this way, not only the differences in brands, but also the local climate, the popular music symbolized by hip-hop, hunting, skateboarding, surfing, and other games and culture are reflected in the fashion, creating a regional character. It is also fun to enjoy vintage clothing from this perspective, just like baseball caps, which have a strong local flavor. If you think about coordinating with such themes in your own way, you may broaden the range of your outfits and add depth and interest to them.
