Thank you , for your hard work on the spoon carving workshop.
Honma:We worked on it for two hours, but it was never finished (laughs).
How long does it take to complete?
Honma:I haven't measured it properly, but it might take 3 or 4 hours from the raw wood stage. Also, it seems that spoon carving is very popular in Europe right now. There are many fashionable how-to books on the subject.
Q: Did Mr. Kobayashi request the workshop?
Honma:I had been wanting to do a spoon carving demonstration since about this spring, but things happened and it fell through. . So when this opportunity came up, I told them I wanted to do it.

How do you like Camp Land in Suigen no Mori?
Honma:I've been here about 3 times, and it seems like it changes every time. I wonder if things will change again from here. I feel like the staff is getting used to it. I think it is getting better and better.

When did you first meet Mr. Kobayashi?
Honma:I guess 15 years ago. At first, I thought, "He's a guy who comes up with all kinds of words I've never heard before" (laughs). I was about 30 years old at the time, so maybe I couldn't keep up with his loftiness. But then, he gradually started to get more and more sophisticated. Then, unexpectedly, we found ourselves laughing at the same points.
What kind of person is Mr. Kobayashi to you?
Honma:Mr. Kobayashi is Mr. Kobayashi . Nothing more, nothing less, right?
