The revolution caused by the "Air" technology created by Nike.

Nike's "AIR MAX REVOLUTION TOKYO" was held at Hyokeikan in Tokyo's Ueno Park for three days from March 24 to 26, just before the blooming of the cherry blossoms. The first "Air Max" went on sale on March 26, 1987. This event commemorates the 30th anniversary of this masterpiece, which was the first to be equipped with Nike Air, a technology that has become a well-known standard for everyone. Nike's close relationship with various cultures, not to mention sports, made it possible to realize this historic project.

A celebration of Air Max held in a venerable museum.

Hyokeikan, Japan's first full-fledged art museum, was the setting for "Air Max Revolution Tokyo," held in a historic place with a history of more than 100 years.

The three-day event combined Tokyo's world-class art, music, and technology with sports through the timeless Air Max.

The festive space, which makes use of Western architecture from the Meiji era, was designed to create a festive atmosphere, and the excitement of the visitors reached a maximum at the exterior and entrance.

The three-day event consisted of various installations expressing the history and future of Air Max, as well as programs such as talk shows, a quiz competition about "Air Max" called "Sneakers Cup," and live DJ performances.

The "Air Max Geneology" program within this event, which shines the history of the "Air Max" from various angles, was co-produced by NF, with Ichiro Yamaguchi of Sakanaction as the initiator.

It is no exaggeration to say that their presence was a major part of the event that portrayed the current culture without falling into a kind of nostalgia.

NF is home to many of Tokyo's leading creators, including Yamaguchi, Wonderwall's Masamichi Katayama, stylist Shinichi Mita, and media artist Daito Manabe, who also works as a DJ.

This project pursues the fusion of various cultures and new ways of music through music, and the idea of the fusion of new technology and culture that NF envisions through the "Air Max" was a common thread that ran through this Geneology Zone.
