Vintage and maison brands, skinny and baggy, I have been wearing a certain amount of denim pants other than those with Japanese patterns, but the comfort and silhouette of "Farrar," which started this season, feel fresh and not belonging to any other brand. The silhouette is moderately heavy, yet tucked in, like a hopsack trouser, just like an English gentleman. Unlike flattering slacks, these trousers have a certain bone to them. Therefore, even if paint is applied, they do not pop too much. The brand was born in the U.S., went through the U.K., and was rebranded in Japan this year, a feat accomplished by the diverse essence of a brand that has traveled to three different countries. At my favorite hair salon, my hair stylist always wears a white shirt. It is something that would easily get dirty, but it is always dazzlingly white. That alone makes me feel somewhat confident in her.
