What kind of place is this bar for you?
COTARO:I am from the Kansai region, but as soon as I moved to Tokyo, I met SKIN, the bartender here, and he introduced me to many people, and I was able to find a place in Tokyo, or rather, become a part of the community. Some of the people I met there are now active as designers and models. Sometimes these connections lead to work. So in a sense, this bar is my starting point in Tokyo.
How do you feel about wearing "Diesel Library"?
COTARO:It is easy to wear. The size is very current, and the sneakers are voluminous and comfortable. The all-white color fits well with me. I think many people are interested in set-up styling these days, and I like the fact that you can coordinate them in such a way. Once you put the top and bottom together, the styling is complete by itself, and you don't have to worry about innerwear or shoes.

One of the main points is that the products are made with sustainability in mind.
COTARO:My impression is that awareness of sustainability in Japan is very low compared to overseas. Therefore, I think it is good that fashion can be a trigger for people to learn about sustainability. I think it is important to know the background of production and to continue wearing one piece of clothing for a long time.
Do you have any essentials that you would use to describe your style?
COTARO:This tattoo is also an important part of my self-expression, as well as the 24K necklace with the word "pleasure" engraved on it. It was given to me by Mr. Kenshi of MR. BROTHERS CUT CLUB, a bar bar in Tokyo, and I wear it all the time. When you receive something from a loved one, you cherish it because it is from the heart. I often give clothes I am tired of to my friends, and vice versa, and share clothes with friends.
