The layout was designed to be effective, giving priority to its beauty as a clock.
Mr. Nagaba himself has a special attachment to mountains, and enjoys the extraordinary through climbing and hiking.
I can't go abroad in these times, so I have more opportunities to refresh myself by going to the mountains or camping at nearby campgrounds. I had the scenery I saw there in my mind and wanted to draw the artwork for this project. The bear with the musical instrument was inspired by the nursery rhyme "The Bear in the Forest" (laughs).
When I asked Mr. Nagaba what specific views and episodes he had, he told me this story.

When I went to Hakone a few years ago, I encountered a family of wild boars. There was a small child boar and a parent boar, and they looked so alert and excited that I thought, 'This can't be good,' and I ran away at once. I was with my own child and had to run up a steep hill while pushing a stroller. That is why I painted a father and son of wild boars (laughs). I painted my favorite backpack."

And also, when I turn on the backlight, a picture of a deer comes to life. It was near the top of the mountain, so I felt it was very mysterious. Also, in the movie "Stand by Me," the main character encounters a deer, and that scene remained in my mind, so I painted it.

This is how the cute artwork was drawn. Mr. Nagaba printed out a full-size dummy of "DWE-5610" and actually wrapped it around his arm while checking the placement in detail.
I simulated it many times. There are things you can never tell just from a computer, so I wanted to be particular about how it would look when actually worn on the arm. At first, I drew the trees as if they were a total pattern, but when I actually put it on my wrist, I realized that it would be difficult to convey the motif, so I changed the layout effectively, prioritizing the beauty of the watch as a whole.
These parts were created by Mr. Nagaba's persistence. This time, the parts can be selected from three colors: green, white, and skeleton. These colors were also selected by Mr. Nagba.

The first color I chose was green because of the "mountain" theme. I wanted a calm green, so I chose a slightly deeper color. I chose white because it is the color that best reflects my painting, and I chose a skeleton color to match it so that there would not be too much clutter. I think these three colors will not look strange even if they are freely combined.
