ANC-WISM-01 (WIDE)

¥39,600 SIZE: 1,2,3
This 13.5oz selvedge denim is woven over time on an old-style shuttle loom, and was carefully selected from a variety of denim fabrics that were tested and touched, and has a depth to it that is not overly homogenized on the surface. This special order employs repairs not found in the inline version, and is reinforced with remakes and stitches using a special sewing machine, the staggered sewing machine.

The waistband uses a technique used for slacks, which fits well but is also uncomfortable in a good way. In the family's signature processing, the craftsman "rubs" the fabric one by one by hand, creating a three-dimensional stained look that can be seen in multiple layers.

Next to the denim released in April, a special order of sweatshirts awaits. This sweatshirt is arranged in a wizm style.
Hori family:What I value is not what I think would be nice to wear, but whether or not it makes me want to wear it before I put it on.
Mr. Yamachika, you said something similar.
Yamachika:Yes, I have. The first denim I made was a little short and tapered in shape. In other words, I started with a different approach. I thought about what I could do to make people want to wear them when they were on the racks.
I think this is definitely an eye-catching piece of work.
Yamachika:The market for pants is hard to break into, and besides, there are so many other denim products out there. I think there are already all kinds of silhouettes out there, but with this processing and this shape, I wondered if it would be something that would be of interest to you.
Hori family:I see . So that's how it is. There are parts that I like at a quick glance and parts that I like after listening to what you have to say. You are much younger than I am, but when I saw your clothes, I immediately sensed that you were not just making things with a lot of energy and a sense of humor.

Sample of print variations. Some have different percentages of stain, some have different inks.
The sewing factory we visited for this interview handles items for prominent brands other than "Anselm," but the atmosphere at the factory was very homey. The main staff member in charge is close to Mr. Yamachika in age, and he said that it is important for them to be able to communicate with each other without having to speak.
When Mr. Yamachika comes to the factory, you can see that the lady in the office is excited. They say, "Yama-chan, Yama-chan" (laughs)," said a staff member at the factory. Yamachika greets everyone in a loud voice (laughs)," said a staff member at the factory.

Uno no Chinu" is located at Uno Port in Tamano City. . The work was created using driftwood found along the coast around the port and in Lake Kojima.
Next, we visited a processing plant located close to the Seto Inland Sea.

We are about to start work on the very wizm special order denim. The pile of denim is overwhelming.
Yamachika:I have known this factory since I started Anselm, so it hasn't been that long, but I trust them a lot.
Hori family:Everyone is working quietly, and it's really cool!
Are there many processing plants like this in Kojima?
Yamachika:Yes . I think there are several things. I'm close in age to the staff here, and I can talk to them in the same way. Like the sewing factory workers I mentioned earlier, they all love clothes and have been looking at vintage clothing for a long time. It is precisely because of this base that I am able to remove them. . These people are the reason I am here in Okayama.

The processing is so good that it leaves you speechless . It is now in the realm of art. There must not be many factories that can "tweak" so thoroughly.
Yamachika:Actually, I don't often accept special orders for denim. I do receive quite a few requests, though.
Hori family:I'm grateful for that. It's been a while since I've seen the situation, but I wanted to do a special order for this brand at the first time, instead of waiting until after I saw the situation. Actually, when we first made the sweatshirts for a special order, I wanted to do a special order for denim as well, but I knew that they were very precious about it, so I decided not to do it. After the sweatshirts sold well, I thought I wanted to do denim, but I still wasn't sure. I was sure that there would be a lot of inquiries, and I didn't want to do the same thing as others.
. So there was such hesitation.
Hori family:Yes . I was lost for about two days (laughs). (Laughs.) I am a person who thinks about it a lot.
Yamachika:You are always so quick. I think that everything is already decided before I place an order.
Hori family:It's not that it's bad that it takes time to place an order, but I want to convey the passion I feel to some extent all at once, don't I? Anyway, for the first time in a long time, I was able to step on the gas pedal without thinking too much.
