We split into two boats and set sail! Newport Edogawa" is located along the old Edogawa River, so we will pass the theme park in Maihama while looking at the streets of Kasai and Urayasu on the side, and then we will be on the Tokyo Bay. It is refreshing to ride on the sea at speed!
Ishii:It is the best feeling! . It is refreshing to see the city of Tokyo from a boat.
Ichikawa:. it's very different from the feeling of being on a boat on a lake in Boso. There is a sense of openness, and it feels good. The theme song from "Tsuribaka nisshi" is playing in my head.
After about 30 minutes , the boat proceeds and arrives at its first destination, Haneda Airport. The mouth of the nearby Tama River is a popular spot for sea bass, so there are many people ahead of us and the pressure is high, but since we are on a boat today, it doesn't matter! We started under planes taking off every few minutes!
It was Ichikawa, who voiced his opinion within 10 minutes of starting his rod!
Ichikawa:I was fishing a minnow through the middle of four piers when I got a hit on the surface. The bite was easy to understand, and it was like a black bass on the structure. I was relieved to have caught it.
We all immediately caught a fish, and our hopes and nerves were rising. The target is a bridge pier. Each angler casts with all his heart, imagining how he will catch a fish.
KOZAKANA:I think the sea bass are feeding on small fish like anchovies and hake this time of year, so I'll use smaller lures.
Takamine:. It seems like everyone is targeting the surface, so I thought I would use a different lure. The water is about 20 meters deep, so I use a metal jig.
The next one I caught was Komatsu ~. . He is scared of sea bass after a long time.
Komatsu:I was winding and stopping the metal vibrator, raising and lowering the rod, and like Mr. Ichikawa, I got a gut ...... on the surface. It was the first time for me to use a pack rod, so I was honestly worried about the hooking, but it was an unnecessary worry! . Since I was able to avoid bowfishing, I would like to fish for something other than sea bass.
After that, we don't hear from them. Ichikawa and Komatsu seem to have fished them all out, so we move on to the next point.
While changing spots, Takamine was the next to catch a fish. He lost one fish at the same spot, but this time he caught it!
Takamine:I lost it earlier, but it's still fun to catch it! . But I'm sorry I missed the target. I thought the bait was small, so I was throwing a small, heavy jig and didn't catch any fish, so I changed to a slightly bigger one and caught it. But I am happy!
