Environmentally friendly tournament management.
Trail running is an activity that takes place in nature, and one of the characteristics of the UTMF is that it is run in consideration of the natural environment.
GOLDWIN and The North Face, which have supported this event since its inception, continue to make various environmentally friendly efforts, such as providing water in stainless steel jugs at aid stations and collecting T-shirts and PET bottles at a special environmental awareness booth.

The T-shirts provided to athletes as participation prizes are made from polyester recycled from T-shirts collected in the past. The T-shirts collected this year will also be reborn as participation prize T-shirts for next year's event and beyond.
In addition, two days before the UTMF 165k, the organizers announced a change in the course of this year's UTMF 165k, bypassing the Tenko Mountains, a difficult section in the early stages of the race. This was due to concerns about the impact on the natural environment and safety risks posed by the large number of runners passing through the area, taking into consideration the trail conditions and forecasted rainfall. . This decision was also made in consideration of the environment.
