Store manager of the STUDIOUS MENS Shibuya Parco store. After graduating from university, he joined a company that handles "STUDIOUS" as a new graduate. After that, he worked at three stores in Tokyo before his current position. He loves comedy so much that he once aspired to be a comedian.

Today, I would like to ask you mainly about how you spend your summer.
Asano:Please do. But I don't really like summer to begin with (laughs).

Asano:I am not involved in festivals, camping, or other summer activities that people enjoy, and I usually like to spend my time relaxing. I like to spend my time relaxing in general.
I guess for you, "how to stay cool" is a better way to spend the summer than to enjoy the summer to the fullest.

How do you spend your summer in comfort?
Asano:I love cold udon, and I go to "Onyanma" in the basement of Shibuya Parco five or six times a week!
I envy you that you can eat "Onyanma" every day. What is your favorite menu item?
Asano:I like the firmness of the noodles, so I order cold udon whether it is winter or summer. It is usually simple with just a dash of soy sauce, sometimes with bukkake or topped with toriten (chicken tempura).

Let me ask you about fashion. Do you have any summer must-haves?
Asano:Sandals. In summer, there is probably not a day that goes by that I do not wear sandals. I go anywhere in Tokyo in shorts and sandals style, like walking around the neighborhood.
Today's footwear is also sandals.
Asano:This is a pair of sandals by Ufos, specially ordered by Takahiro Miyashita the Soloist. I first wore Ufos sandals two years ago. My feet don't get as tired as they do with sneakers, and I can spend all day at Disneyland in them (laughs).
What kind of shorts would you like to wear this summer?
Asano:I think the faux leather shorts I bought last year from "New Label" are just right for a rough style like sandals and a T-shirt. If the shorts are leather, it gives the impression of being fashionable. I think there are a lot of brands offering leather shorts this season, too!

Asano:This is a new item from "Sugar Hill. The ombre check is casual in nature, but because it is made of rayon, it does not look old-fashioned. I personally like the new casual look that doesn't go all out casual.
Mr. Asano's summer essentials
1. silver accessories by "Wakan Silversmiths," whose icon is the Mobius wheel, are made to order. I wear the same accessories all year round, just like my uniform. It has more presence in the summer.
