Activities and the clothes you want to wear.
What do you usually wear when you go fishing?
Sasamoto:Basically, it's everyday clothes: T-shirt, denim, and sneakers. To this I add a rye jacket and a bag. It is hot this year, so I would like to go sea fishing in a rougher style.
Sasaki:This Nanga wear, really, would be nice. It's not tight, but it's dependable. And yet, I don't mind the heat. It's like an extension of my gear. It's definitely going to be good.

Sasamoto:That's what I was thinking! It looks like it won't get in the way when driving a car, and if you wear it and it gets wet, it dries quickly so you don't have to carry a change of clothes. It might also be good for biking to a wild pond.
Sasaki:I finally bought a car!

Did you know about Nanga?
Sasamoto:Nanga, I knew that. Takamine, you wore it when you were fishing, right?
Sasaki:I have a Nanga down jacket made in collaboration with Back Channel. Fishing in winter is extremely cold, so it is very useful. It's warm. That's the image I had of them, so I was surprised to hear that they have summer clothes. I was surprised.
Sasamoto:I was surprised because I knew the brand well. When I tried it on, of course I thought, "Oh, it doesn't have down in it" (laughs). (laughs) But I was even more surprised to find that it was proper outdoor wear.

What do you mean by "proper outdoor wear"?
Sasamoto:When I first saw it, I thought the design was nice. So I honestly thought it was not a functional garment, but something that would add a stylish touch to the outdoor scene. But when I actually tried it on, I was not bothered at all, even though I must have been sweating a lot, probably due to its quick-drying or breathability. The fact that it was fully functional fit perfectly with my image of outdoor wear.
Sasaki:It also repels water and is definitely compatible with waterfront activities. Even sitting here now, I feel as if I am wearing a bathing suit. I think it would be comfortable for camping, trekking, and many other outdoor activities.
