I hope it will be the new standard sneaker.
What do you think of the "Classic Leather" when you see it in person?
Uchiyama:I like it very much . As I mentioned earlier, I think many people feel that all-white is somewhat too fresh, especially for men. In that respect, I like the use of two different leathers, the black "Reebok" letters, and the light gray outsole. . One of my themes was to create a new all-white sneaker. I am glad that I was able to create something with a different atmosphere from the previous items, while still retaining the good points of "classic leather.

Do these grained leathers get darker and darker as they are worn in?
Uchiyama:I think it will be. I think the contrast will become stronger and have a different look.
What kind of styling do you suggest for coordination?

Uchiyama:I think these sneakers really go with a variety of styles, so of course you can wear them with your usual casual style, but I think they would also go well with set-up styling. . I think they will go well with set-ups as well, not to mention the usual casual style. . I hope they will become the new standard sneaker for me.
A new standard?
Uchiyama:Recently, the sneaker boom has calmed down, and I think there is a growing tendency to wear shoes of one's choice in a diverse manner, whether they are leather shoes or boots. In this context, I think we have created an item that can be worn even after a few years of sitting in the shoe closet without fading away, while keeping in step with the mood of the moment. Sneakers have the advantage of being able to maximize the current mood, but I think that a complete model like the "Classic Leather" also has a universal appeal that can be worn regardless of the era. I hope that these sneakers will be positioned in such a way that they will become standard sneakers that can be worn anytime without embarrassment.

. Lastly, what are your expectations for the Reebok brand in the future?
Uchiyama:. Lately, I have the impression that there has been a renewed focus on the base models of the "Classic Leather" and "Club C" brands. On the other hand, innovative models such as the Instapump Fury were also being developed at the same time, which I thought was the norm in the 1990s, but now I think it's amazing. I think that is the charm of Reebok, and I am looking forward to seeing how these two axes will evolve in the future, so I hope that unique items will be released in the future.
